Samsung Galaxy Alpha: Why is there no sound coming out of my phone?

When I try and watch a videos on my phone there is no sound coming out of the speaker.

What can I do to fix this?

I really would like to hear my friends singing happy birthday to me.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha: Phone seems to work after being in milk

My sister yesterday accidentally got her Galaxy Alpha into a serial bowl with milk. After turning it off for the night since she is in a trip and can't put it in rice she tried to turn it on this morning and it looks like it functions as it did before.

I would point out that after it fell she immediately pulled it out of there and cleaned it although she did say that milk got into the charging port.

I wanted to ask: Is the fact that it works fine means that it's fine and there i nothing to worry about or is there still a chance that the milk will cause problems later on in a few days and if there is how likely is it?

I just want to make sure that it's not causing any further damage the fact she charges and using it and that her phone should be ok.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha: How to update to any later Android version?

One of my friends purchased the phone back in 2014, he denied every update when he got the phone, now when he checked the system update, it says it has been latest, the version is Android 4.4.4, we tried Samsung Smart Swith, but without luck. BTW, the device was rooted before.

I want to know that if it’s possible to upgrade to any later Android versions? Since the 4.4.4 version is as much as too old. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My phone keeps getting stuck in a boot loop it eventually comes back on by itself but it does it every day. Also I notice when I unlock my phone or press on the screen I get a red outline to the screen????? I have factory reset the phone. Tried turning it on in safe mode but still find it does the boot loop.

My phone got soaked at the beach. I took it apart immediately and dried it with a towel. As I was on holiday, I did not do the rice trick but I made no attempt to turn the phone on or charge it. I left it for a few days once I was pretty sure it was dry. I checked the white water-damage indicator which has not turned pink. But when I tried charging, I had no response. When I plug it into the PC using a USB, the red LED light flashes on but then fades in and out. I am fairly sure this phone has completely fried but I was wondering if there was any chance of repairing it enough to let me transfer pictures and documents from the phone to my computer?

after showing it in care centre i also use to do some of experiment with it i flash it with odin and try to put stock rom in it but after that cell start and switch after 15 minute ... so can yu find what problem is coming in it so that i can repair in it ..

Samsung Galaxy Alpha: Why doesn't my phone boot up and instead keeps heating up?

Okay so last year, my phone suddenly stopped booting up. I had thought that maybe it was out of charge. I kept it for a whole day on charge, but still no luck. Then I sent it to the service center. They replaced something called "power module" and the phone was fine again. Now they also said that my battery was a bit damaged(which I noticed as the battery backup had decreased), but since they did not have spare battery at that time, they said that it would be replaced later on. Now recently, my phone has been having the same problems again- it wasn't booting up, except for the fact that after keeping on charge for about half a day, the screen once lit up and showed charger not recognized sign(Yellow sign with a battery). Thinking the data cable was faulty, I replaced it and it started charging again. So what I want to ask is if this happened due to the same reason as last year, or if the data cable was really faulty and the phone was out of power?

PS: I had been using the phone with the damaged battery. Other than reduced battery backup, there were no other problems.

The home button no longer works for the fingerprint. But even when I go to settings to set the impression tells me that it does not work. I restarted the phone and reset to its factory state, but the problem persists.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha: Why has all my Music been deleted and my pictures aswell

All my music has been deleted from my music player and has gone back to original files. I cannot even add music but all is there and not showing in the music player, my pictures aswell are not being saved they were aslo deleted from gallery and back into original stored files. How do I get them back to the player and gallery.

Ok so I have a galaxy alpha G850a that I replaced the screen/ digitizer on and is now fully loading to the point where I can here the notifications and such how ever the screen won't leave the Samsung galaxy alpha screen. I have tried loading the recovery boot menu and it won't completely load shows the blue recovery boot in the top left corner but won't go past that and it will load into download mode and actually show that screen any help or info at all would be appreciated thanks.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha: How to exchange the fingerprint sensor

Hey Guys my fingerprint sensor isn't responding anymore (probably water damaged),

so I want to exchange it. In the teardown, the fingerprint sensor is pretty complicated to exchange. Is there an easier way?

And what do I need to do it (tools etc.)

I'm a beginner so please tell me how difficult this was.

I have a galaxy alpha, it wont stay on!! When on charge its just turning off and on and repeatedly doing this! It is also getting hot! When off charge its doing the same! Is it the battery or has my phone died???? Help!!!!
