Samsung Galaxy A53 5G: A53 slow down/lag/freeze after display replacement

Greetings ,

Yesterday i replaced a cracked screen for my customer's A53 that was not working since November of 2023 .

I found an OEM OLED Screen so i bought it replaced the old one .

After the repair was complete I turned the device on and ran the diagnostics where it passed all of them successfully, so I proceeded with gluing the back of the phone. I realized that the device lags quite a bit, so I suggested my client to proceed with factory settings because his mobile phone may have unwanted applications that make it slow. He took the device and proceeded to update the software and applications and noticed that the touch sometimes gets stuck, like when you try to browse your mobile phone with wet hands, something that is fixed by restarting the mobile phone, but it reappears after a while. It doesn't seem reasonable to me that the mobile phone is slow after a screen replacement, rather I believe that the mainboard flex is faulty and needs to be replaced. What is your opinion and what steps would you take in my position?

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G: Phone will not power on

So I’m a tech savvy individual I have repaired lots of Iphones and androids but this one has me stumped.

Received it from a friend, was able to turn it on and perform a factory reset, then was able to get to the main screen, did the screen test and it passed then the phone randomly turned off, so I plugged it in and let it charge (He hasn’t used it in like 2 months so I thought it just needed a fresh charge) after leaving it plugged in over night, it still will not show any life, I opened it up, no water damage and no physical damage anywhere to be found I also checked all of the connectors and they’re in excellent condition. Also no battery swelling or punctures. I have tried 8 different cables, and no dice, I’ve tried the soft reset, and a few other methods, pc won’t detect it, so I’m not sure how to go about. Any advice or anything of the sorts would be swell. Thank you.

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G: New parts, won't boot, gets hot

So my gf ran my phone through the wash, it was on during. When it came out the screen was non responsive, essentially phone was a brick, I foolishly tried to boot it and it became super hot.

I assumed the battery was damaged as I've read water and batteries don't like each other and even have a tendency to get hot like mine did. So I bought a new battery off the Amazon, I also bought a new charge port, and a new screen with housing. I have replaced all the parts.

Now when I plug in the charger the screen does nothing, as if the plug is not being detected. But I can feel some heat in the back when the port ribbon connects to the mobo, as if it may be charging? However when I try to boot the phone with the power button, the mobo section just gets incredibly hot and the screen does nothing. Very similar to when it was first in the wash.

The heat appears to be coming from the area of the board that has two silver metal blocks, on top of the area where the sim/sd card slide holder goes in.

Now, I'm not a solderer or a microtech, but I can follow a YouTube video as good as the next guy, and I've built PCs before, so I'm reasonably sure that I didn't damage anything during the parts replacement and that everything is in and connected to the right places. I'm really only trying to get the phone to boot long enough to back up the data, any help would be appreciated.

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G: Microphone No Longer Working

As the title says, my microphone is no longer working. I have spoken with a repair shop about it, and it is not the physical microphone. It is the hardware/board, and I was informed I was better off getting a new phone than trying to fix this issue. The only issue is I don't have the money at the moment for a new phone. Has anyone else had this issue / knows what to do before I go try and finance a new phone?

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G: Moisture detected warning not going away.

About a month a go a baby spilled a unknown oil on my type c charging cord. I was able to clean out the port but that didn't work after I replaced the sister board on the bottom but it would keep coming back. After I was able to find a oem replacement and that kept the phone working for a while I also replaced the ribbon cable that connects the 2 boards together. I have kept the phone away from all moisture possible and resealed it. Yesterday my phone died on me and now it is unable to charge at all. The software was up to date and there cant possibly be any moisture anywhere. Any solutions to this? at this point I'm sure its some ultra sensitive sensor somewhere in the phone that is bricking up my phone.

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G: regarding touch not working anymore after repairs

I recently ran into some trouble trying to refurbish a A53 5G.

not too long ago we took in an almost unused A53 but it had a crack in the screen so we decided to replace the screen to make it mint again. after i tried replacing the screen with a new one the touch suddenly stopped working.

while looking around on the internet I am reading about complaints about it happening a lot with the ribbon cable, but i also replaced that (twice) and I also tried 3 different working screens(2 of them soft-oled and 1 service pack from samsung themselves)

is there anything I could still try or a common problem with this? I am having a hard time fixing this device and it feels like a waste to give up on it at this moment

I have a Samsung Galaxy A53 5G but its firmware version isn't the firmware it should have; it seems to be for device testing purposes. The phone runs the android and OneUI versions the A53 initially came out with and functions properly for the most part. There are apps technicians use such as "memlogger controller" "sdmhidden-menu" and "smart epdg test" that I can't uninstall, updates aren't supported with this firmware version and command lines appear on the screen during startup and shutdown. How can I fix this? How can I reinstall the original firmware so this phone is like a normal Galaxy A53 5G? The attachments show the apps and the firmware versions and some of the command threads.
