Samsung Galaxy A50: Speakers are not working at all.

Suddenly there is no sound coming out of my phone. I checked for "do not disturb" mode, any Bluetooth connected devices (and turned it off), and even went a step further and disabled my assistant app. I checked *#0*# for the speaker, and it didn't work. Through Samsung Members app I did an interactive check and then it showed that my "in-call speaker" is working but not my "media speaker". I tried to connect my headphones through the AUX jack and it didn't work as well.

From various support forums, I found out that similar problem is present with other users of A50 which leads me to think that the issue is a software problem, especially that it happened suddenly!

Any suggestions about how to resolve the issue, or at least, make sure that it is a software issue not a hardware one? (without resetting my phone).

Samsung Galaxy A50: A50 won't charage or turn on - Overheating icon

I have an A50 that started claiming that it was overheating and wouldn’t charge. I tried:

Factory reset - No change

Clean charging port with pin, IPA, q-tip - No change

Remove rear cover - Minor water damage on some chips on charging daughterboard, and on the main board.

Replace midframe - No change

Shorting the 2 pins on the side of the motherboard that corresponds to the power button sometimes lets the phone turn on depending on what is connected.

Cleaned water damage with IPA and q-tip - No change

Samsung Galaxy A50: Will device boot with no battery?

Hey, i was taking a look at a phone for someone who said it wont charge or turn on.

When plugged in a lighting bolt in a circle appears but no battery percentage. i took apart the phone and disconnected the battery then plugged in the charger and same thing

Lighting bolt in a circle with no battery percentage

Does this mean the battery is the problem? The device in theory should boot without one while plugged in like a laptop.

Would this mean the issue is software and not hardware since the charging port is working.

Samsung Galaxy A50: Screen black, wont turn on, please help!

I bought a Samsung Galaxy A50 from BackMarket (dont ever buy from them its a scam!!!)

Anyway, literally as soon as I turned the phone on for the first time after unboxing I knew the screen was broken somehow.

The colors were all off, everything turned either neon-ish or white when the brightness was all the way up. Over a span of maybe 3 days the phone developed a yellow, green, blue, and black spot on the side that slowly took over the entire screen. I'm assuming this means they sent me a phone with a broken OLED?

The original seller refuses to speak to me, Backmarkets phone doesn't even exist, and the ‘representative’ refused to refund, repair, or replace the phone even though it was broken when I got it.

Is there anywhere I can take it? Can it be fixed? I just spent almost $300 for a work phone (not including the price for a case) that I never even got to use and its been months since Ive had my own phone, I dont have the money to buy another one but I feel like its going to be just as expensive to buy a new one as it would be to fix it….

Someone help please :(

Hello. I'm repairing galaxy a505 (A50), that was droped im water but when i dry it, the phone turned on once then the battery was dead. I replaced the battery, and the phone, when you plug the charger in, show a circle with lightning bolt but when this disappear, you can turn on the phone and everything works fine, just dont charge. So I replaced the dock flex, got a new original one, but still the same. Wont charge but if you plug the charger in when turned off, it detects the charger but wont charge. Do you think that something is wrong with motherboard connector. I clean it but still the same. The water damage is seen just near the dock flex nowhere else. Thank you, for your answers.
