Samsung Chromebook 3: Motherboard is no longer powering up.

We have about 2k+ of this model. I am starting to see lots of them fail due to power failure at the charging post. I have fixed this by replacing the motherboard. I hope someone has a better fix for this. Like maybe a bad solder job. Have not been able to identify the problem other than replacing the motherboard. The device is now 18 months old and only had a 12 month warranty. Being a school district, people cringe when I ask them to spend money. Please Help.

Samsung Chromebook 3: Chrome book not powering on

I powered off my chromeboom due to a Wi-Fi problem and it just wouldn't power back on still shows a charging light and has a full charge.

Other things say to use refresh button and power button to soft reset the device but that doesn't work.

Is my best bet to open the bottom panel and disconnect the battery?

Samsung Chromebook 3: Power jack port broken. Who can fix this?

The power port where the charger cord plugs in broke after 3 weeks on my chromebook 3 xe500c13 so that it won't accept the plug. I took it to a UBreakIFix. They said they couldn't find any parts to replace this and that they couldn't anyway bc it's soldered onto the board. Do you have suggestions where to send this to get it fixed?

Samsung Chromebook 3: How to remove management off of a chromebook

do you guys know a way to remove management off of a chromebook? I have had my Samsung Chromebook 3 for at least 2 years and i wanted to do a powerwash. So I did that and... I accidently signed into my school account. Now my chromebook is my school's chromebook. But I can still sign in with my regular account. But I can't turn on Linux or be in dev mode. I use Linux for steam and a virtual machine. Can someone help me remove management?

When I plug the cable into either of the two usb slots, it generally does not charge. Aggressive jiggling will generally get it working, but the force I have to apply and the amount of jiggling is not normal. I replaced the charger with a Samsung charger, but it has no effect on the charging isssue.

Samsung Chromebook 3: Did I just order the right part?

My Samsung Chromebook (XE500C13) has a messed up charging port. I bought it used and the previous owner had apparently had problems and his solution made the problem worse.

I just bought a replacement charging port from ifixit…then noticed it referenced Samsung XE303C12 Chromebook DC-In Jack . Just a few minutes ago. I just realized that XE303C12 sounds like a model of Chromebook more than it does a component part number.

My CB is a model XE500C13-K03US. As noted above.

Did I order the right part for my model of CB? Will it work?

I am concerned that the XE303C12 refers to the model of CB not the part number for the port, in which case there’s a good chance I just wasted my money (unless I can cancel quickly…but I probably won’t get an answer to the question in time to do that. <sigh>)

Does anyone know the answer to this question?
