Saitek X52 Pro: On the joystick side, buttons doesn't respond except toggle buttons

The throttle side works perfectly fine but on the joystick side, trigger button, pinkie button, fire a-b-c buttons and POVs are not working. Axis are working fine. I don't know what is the problem, it showed up suddenly and these buttons are working sometimes but they are really rare moments.

In my opinion its something technical, just like some connection problems between some cables. Because i tried the joystick on different computer with different USB ports and different drivers.

Hope someone can help me.

Best regards

Saitek X52 Pro: Cable connector is not snug. Joystick does not fully connect to thrott

I have had two X52 Pro Throttle/Joystick combos. Both failed the same way...the cable connector on the joystick becomes a slack fit, which apparently prevents proper connection and communication to the throttle unit. I took a look inside and it appears that female connector would have to be replaced, and by soldering above my skill level. Any alternatives?

I just bought an X52 pro and when I pull back on the throttle the speed in the game increases and when I push it forward it slows down. Is this a fault with the throttle control or a software problem?

Saitek X52 Pro: Joystick causing erratic inputs - New cable, now stuck 'on'

Hello everyone,

I recently got a second-hand Saitek X52 throttle and joystick. The throttle works fine and I can see all of the inputs respond correctly in the USB controller settings in windows.

However, when I plug in the joystick all of the inputs start going erratic, axis readings jump up and down, button signals keep flashing, etc. When I hold a button on the joystick the input for that button alone stays steady, but the moment I let go it starts flickering again.

All of the lights on the stick and throttle are on solid (no flickering there). But when I switch the joystick to mode 1 the throttle flashes between modes 1-3, the other modes don't have this issue.

Holding the din cable in place doesn't stop this behaviour. I've also opened up the throttle and stick, no connectivity issues with the din ports, and all of the cables in the joystick have a clean connection. I also tested continuity on the din cable and had no issues there.

Can anyone think of something else I've missed?

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

UPDATE:

Got a new cable and the inputs are no longer erratic, the inputs on the stick are now all showing as pressed permanently. I understand that this can be an issue with one of the wires in the joystick, however I’ve checked them all again and I have full continuity through all the wires all the way to the base.

Saitek X52 Pro: Throttle buttons stop responding in certain positions

My X52 pro acts up in certain throttle positions.

the rotator axis will change and loose accuracy in certain positions with the throttle Axis and some of the buttsons stop working as well. I believe it may be an issue with its internal potentiometers but I'm not entirely sure.

And to add to this I've owned this X52Pro for about two years now.

Saitek X52 Pro: Joystick Yaw axis jittering wildly when at rest

The yaw axis of my Saitek X52 Pro works fine in both directions whenever an input is applied, but when it is at rest it will "jitter" all over the place, giving commands to the computer without any input on the stick. I tried adjusting the deadzone so that it just wouldn't affect my gameplay, but the phantom inputs are seemingly random and will fluctuate all the way to 100% input and back rapidly from side to side, so unless I disable the Yaw axis, it is constantly causing my game's ship to shake wildly side to side.

How can I get my Yaw axis to operate properly again, perhaps a dirty sensor? If it is, which sensor would it be, and what method would be best for its repair?

Saitek X52 Pro: Stick Jams Attempting to Roll to Port

Pretty much since I have had my X52 Pro, the stick has jammed when attempting to roll to port. It will move a tiny distance.. and then no further unless I either apply far more force than I am comfortable with to drive it the rest of the way or let up, wiggle it a while, and then try again.

This happens very often, so it's not an issue I can simply resolve by wiggling it a bit before use. I can't find any information on similar problems, and it doesn't happen when trying to roll to starboard.

Does anyone have any suggestiongs?
