It happened occasionally last season even when I was not cutting high grass, and went back to normal on its own. This season it started in revved up speed and has not changed back to normal the two times I have mowed my small lawn.

Any help would be appreciated

Update: Contacted the Ryobi help desk tech who diagnosed it as a "controller"

problem which would be fixed with the replacement of the electronic circuit board.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to unlock the rear wheels of this mower. It's appears wheels got locked when i moved the machine from my bk yard to my garage while it was off.

I've read postings that say it's a common problem and it's most likely the drive cable. However I haven't found any instructions on how to fix the problem on Ryobi mowers which are different than the gas powered mowers.

Any suggestions? Ur help would be greatly appreciated!
