It was working normally for several minutes and suddenly stopped. Had run into some vines, but none were wrapped around the head after stopping. Fully charged battery, not overheating. When trigger was pressed the motor slight "bumped"--did this several times, but then no more reaction from trigger.

Took apart--thoroughly cleaned the contacts on unit and batteries. I see no issues with wiring anywhere. The motor turns freely (with slight bumps every quarter inch, which I assume is normal. Don't know how to test if motor is issue, or trigger component or circuit board.
Replacement motor (could only find one, $108--too much to put into an older Ryobi) and don't know that this is the issue.

What could make a small motor like this suddenly stop working? Is there any way to take it apart and repair something inside the motor?
