Roland TR-505: Low volume after turning on .

Hello There . I have a TR 505 that squeals when you first turn it on and then the volume drops . Someone left the batteries in it and they corroded the contacts and the DC adapter jack . Was wondering if that has anything to do with the low volume problem . Thanks .
