Roku RC-MC1 remote: How can I Disable the Microphone Permanently?

I hate the dang thing, pressing it accidentally, always worrying about if it's spying on me.

Not to mention my religious beliefs compel me to disable if possible, for the above reasons.

Roku RC-MC1 remote: Wont stay on when unplugged

Whenever my Roku remote is plugged in, it functions perfectly. However, everything indicates that it’s at 100% in the settings and in the top right corner. But, as soon as I unplug it, it behaves as if it’s completely dead.

Roku RC-MC1 remote: Headphone jack not detecting when a device is plugged in.

Bought the thing specifically for the headphone jack and like 2-3 weeks in it stops working. Tried several different pairs of headphones and no dice. I’m assuming they put a relatively cheap jack in there but still annoying. I assume I’ll have to tear it apart and re-solder a joint somewhere but figured I’d ask the experts here first. Any help is appreciated!

Roku RC-MC1 remote: Roku arrows not working

First, the down arrow got stuck so the tv was just scrolling a lot. The other arrows still worked. But now only the right arrow responds to the tv.
