Ring Video Doorbell Pro: Complete button replacement, the whole thing

Hi,

Help please, does anyone know where I can get a complete button assembly, not the plastic button top that cracks but the rest of it. As in the whole “pressure switch” bit, with the ribbon cable attached. It’s for a Ring doorbell Pro?

Thanks

Ring Video Doorbell Pro: Ring Door Bell Pro - button not ringing

I have a ring pro that is 3 months old. Everything works except when someone presses the button nothing happens. I have disconnected the ring pro and put a normal door bell button on to test the inside chime. Inside chime works perfectly. I put the ring pro back on and pair it up with the WIFI, push the button, nothing happens. Video works great and I get all motion alerts. Is it possible the button is stuck? I have tried taking it off line and adding it again. I’ve tried factory reset. Nothing changes.

At night, the ring pro shows a solid white circle with three red dots below.

Ring Video Doorbell Pro: Doorbell button stopped working after 1 week

I installed the RING DOORBELL Pro. It didn’t work so after investigating the problem I had to install a new Wired Door Bell Transformer in my attic. Wala ! It worked for a week. After a week my doorbell stopped working. After extensive research I learned that my doorbell works fine. It’s the doorbell switch that stopped working. I called customer service and the warranty has expired. I did enjoy it for one week. Now unless I pay something like $70.00 I’m stuck with a broken RING DOORBELL Pro. Not happy at all. Any positive suggestions or help would greatly appreciated.

Ring Video Doorbell Pro: Replacing UV-damaged plastics, particularly the camera lens

My Ring Video Doorbell Pro is 3 years old and gets full sun exposure for several hours every day. Over time, the plastics have developed a haze, similar to a car's plastic headlight housings. The button is also worn, but that is just cosmetic. The haze is bad enough that motion detection is no longer functional. Ring does not seem to sell service kits for this model, so they will only offer a discount on a replacement unit (which I presume will suffer the same fate). I'm curious as to whether there is any treatment I can apply as a preventative, or if indeed the front clear plastic panel can be replaced.

Ring Video Doorbell Pro: How do I connect the Ring Video Doorbell wired in the UK?

Hi All,

I’m on a busy street and tired of charging the battery of my Ring doorbell 3 so i am looking to get something hard-wired such as the one in subject or the Pro version. Both of which require adapting the transformer in my consumer unit.

The problem in hand is that my front doorbell is connected to a chime with a built-in step-down (8-10v) transformer. This chime get’s it feed from the consumer unit (obviously) but is connected to the same circuit breaker as my wired smoke system.

Now to install the Ring units I am to change the DIN Transformer within the consumer unit to a Ring specific one which looks to step-down the mains power to a 24V supply to keep the Ring powered. My concern is that this will inadvertently impact my smoke alarm system that is also wired into the same circuit.

The position of my Chime is by the front door and clear to see so i would like to avoid adding an ugly consumer unit in place of the current chime to accommodate the ring transformer.

Any guidance on how best to install the Ring doorbell is appreciated, my thoughts are that if i pull the smoke detector down i might find a junction box which is feeding the Chime and i can splice in there?

but welcome ideas
