<title><![CDATA[Motorola SURFboard SB5101: Upgrading my Cable Modem to DOCSIS 3.0 SB6141]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>This is both a question and gives information on how to save some bucks and a grip about cable company price gouging.</p>

<p>Suddenlink keeps calling me trying to sell me an internet speed upgrade.  I already have 100 Mb download 10Mb upload with a 350GB download limit.</p>

<p>I have no issues with the speed.  But I'm starting to hit my download limit every month.  I know my usage has gone up with the addition of an Apple TV, Netflix and HBO now.</p>

<p>BTW. Instead of getting premier services like HBO from them, I did it through iTunes.  You get three hook ups, so if I buy HBO Now, I can have it and also set it up at my girlfriends, she buys Netflix and shares it with me.  It's about three dollars cheaper than the cable company but I can also have it on my iPhone and iPad,</p>

<p>So I checked and naturally I have to get a better faster cable modem, a DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem.  The cable company will rent this to me for $10 a month, (a ARRIS SURFboard SB6121 with 4X faster speed or I can buy one outright new for $70.00.  I bought one off eBay for $40.00 one step up from what the cable company was offering. A SB6141 Surfboard modem with 8X faster speed.</p>

<p>My question is, can I just install it or do I need to register it with the cable company, then upgrade my plan?.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Fritz!Box: My Fritz Box 7580 is rebooting]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Hello, I have an AVM Fritzbox 7580 that is stuck in a boot loop, constantly rebooting at random intervals. When WiFi is enabled, it reboots every 2–5 minutes, and even with WiFi disabled, it still reboots frequently. A visual inspection didn’t reveal any issues. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?</p>

<title><![CDATA[Starlink Gen 3: Do you repair starlink antenna's]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>I had a storm come through a couple of weeks a ago that had some hail in it. I have my starlink antenna mounted on top of my house. Since the storm, my starlink will lose connection from about noon until 7 pm and then start working again from 7 pm to noon the next day. Somethings not right. It worked perfect before this. the cable is in perfect condition. I can unplug it and reset it and it will connect for about 4 to 5 minutes and then loose connection during the noon to 7 pm time. It's like it can't track the satellites during that time or something. Is there anyone who works on these to repair them?</p>

<description><![CDATA[<p>Water in my Starlink Ethernet adapter damaged either my dish, router, or cable. Everything I got from Starlink was weatherproof except the Ethernet adapter. It was under cover but a particularly bad storm soaked it. My dish became unreachable even though my Starlink router was reachable through it's Wi-Fi. It still doesn't work after I removed the Ethernet adapter. It says the dish is disconnected. The cable ends look okay so I am not sure what is damaged, could be any or all of the dish, router, or cable! Please help!</p>]]></description>

<title><![CDATA[Motorola SURFboard SB5101: What does it mean when the Activity light is flashing? How do I fix it]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>On my modem, all the lights are green. The only problem is the Activity light is flashing and I have no internet connection when i connect to the wifi. I tried reseting it, hitting the “stand by” botton for 30 seconds and made sure all the wires were connected properly and correctly and nothing seems to work. Please help!</p>
