Samsung Refrigerator: Samsung 4-Door Flex not cooling

Model # RF23CB9900QKAA

It started with the freezer warming up, then the whole fridge started blinking lights for a temperature warning. We disassembled it and put it in engineering mode to test it. Control Board looks fine and is sending power to the fans, which do work. No ice buildup is visible; everything looks clean and dry. This 3-year-old fridge simply seems to have decided it does not enjoy refrigerating and prefers to be warm.

Any insight would be incredibly appreciated.

GE Profile Refrigerator: Why won't water dispenser and interior lights work on GE Refrigerator?

I have a GE PROFILE SERIES ENERGY STAR 22.1 CU. FT. COUNTER-DEPTH FRENCH-DOOR ICE AND WATER REFRIGERATOR BY GE APPLIANCES. Our refrigerator will dispense ice, but not water. Also, the interior lights in the refrigerator and freezer won't turn on when the doors are opened. We unplugged the unit last night and plugged it back in and it "reset" the refrigerator. Everything was working again, but then this morning the water again would not work and the lights inside would not turn on. We don't want to have to "reset" the fridge every 12 hours, so trying to figure out what the problem is. Going to have to call GE service, but we've heard bad things about them. Help!

KitchenAid Refrigerator: LED lights flicker and sometimes all power momentarily drop

Fridge is a KitchenAid KRBR109ESS00 (whirlpool). The LED light are screw-in so there’s no separate driver board. Instead, the door switch applies 120 Vac. sometimes the lights (there are 2 bulbs) flicker, but occasionally they go out completely and in concert with this the 7 segment displays showing temp settings also blank out and other fridge items (like the fan) stop as well if they’re running. This only lasts for a couple of seconds and then power returns. I’ve replaced the Jazz control board as well as the wiring harness running to the board, LED light and door switch (one assembly). But the problem persists. Any ideas as what could be causing this?

GE Refrigerator: GE PFE28KYNFFS Ice Maker Not Filling with Water

I have a GE PFE28KYNFFS French door fridge with an ice/water dispenser in the door. The ice maker in the door stopped filling with water. I replaced the ice maker with a Kitchen Basics 101 WR49X31524, and the ice maker worked properly for about a month then stopped filling with water again. I then replaced the ice maker with a genuine GE WR30X28731 ice maker assembly, and the ice maker again filled with water and made ice properly for about 30 days. Once again though, it stopped filling with water.

The water dispenser has worked fine throughout all this, and I have an ice maker in the bottom freezer that has also worked properly throughout the door ice maker failures.

Periodically I can also hear the fridge sound like it is attempting to fill it with water, but no water is ever dispensed into the tray of the ice maker assembly.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what may be causing this and how to fix it?

LG Refrigerator: Water not entering water filter

Hi, I have an LG refrigerator, model LF29H8330S /00

The included LT1000P water filter is bone dry. This fridge automatically bypasses the filter if it doesn’t see one installed, so water and ice still dispense, but with unfiltered water. (Luckily not much of an issue, for we have good enough tap water, but I digress.)

Fridge is very new - installed ~1 year ago but didn’t have water hooked up until recently.

I’ve taken off the panel that covers the tank and plumbing, and I didn’t see anything obviously wrong, but I don’t know what I’m looking at, really.

I have tried:

Removing and replacing the filter with water off

Unplugging and plugging it back in

Removing and replacing the filter several times

I turn the filter until it stops.

Right now I’m thinking the included filter is faulty, incorrectly made, et cetera. Wondering if anyone else has this problem and how to fix it - I’ll try a new filter when possible.

Frigidaire Refrigerator: Paddle Spring for Frigidaire Refrigerator FGHS2631PF4A

I have been working on my daughter's refrigerator... started with needing to fix the Module Dispenser With Paddle part #242270101. It had a broken spring on the paddle, so when asking for ice or water, it wouldn't return forward, and thus would continue to spew water and or ice.

I bought a used 242270101 off eBay, thus the pictures of the working spring, but after install it will work for a while, then when asking for ice, I can hear a small hum, but no ice. If I open the door, and play move the dark black flap that covers the hole, it will work again, and deliver ICE. So I can either buy another Dispenser 242270101. Fix this one, but not sure what is not working correctly and what gets fixed when I move the black flap covering the hole, Or buy a spring to replace in my original Dispenser 242270101.

I think I should be able to figure out how to install a spring if I could find it available... As I took pics of the spring of the one I bought , but have to wiggle black cover flap... Is spring for this part available?

Since I have a temporary Ice Chute, that works, but have to reach in and play with black closing damper thing, then ice will work, other wise just a small noise, and nothing. So I decided to work on original Ice Chute device that had no Compression spring on one side, and go to the other side and add a SPRING, using a drill, Small Screws and Spring... Will install and see if works as new, when next visit to her Condo.

Frigidaire refrigerator: Frigidaire fridge Evaporator Fan not Working but able to turn by hand

Model: FGHN2844LF3

•My freezer is cooling, albeit not to the ideal temperature, and my refrigerator is not getting cold. The freezer stays around 11-19 degrees, the fridge stays around 75-78.

•the refrigerator temp is displaying SY, freezer temp displaying EF which I’ve read is an evaporator fan issue but also could lead to control board??

•I unplugged the fridge for 48 hours to see if when it turned back on it pointed to the defrost portion being the problem. It still didn’t work!!

•I removed the evaporator fan cover and the fan is able to be turned by hand but it’s not turning on its own. I did see two small 1 second periods where it tried to turn on it’s on but it’s definitely not turning consistently.

•the freezer light wasn’t turning on so I exchanged a fridge bulb with the freezer bulb to see if it was burned out or more of a control board issue and that light now turns on but I plugged the original freezer bulb in the fridge bulb spot and it works there too??

•the refrigerator “chirps” excessively when it’s turned on.

•it occasionally makes loud POPs and knocks. Sometimes the pops are as loud as a gun shot it seems but they range. It has done this for the duration of us owning it, so we’re not concerned about that if it did the cooling part. Just adding so I don’t miss any diagnostic details.

•the ice maker broke a month after we purchased the fridge (7 years ago) and we didn’t have it fixed because we had a stand alone ice maker. I only add this detail so that I can give all of the problems to see if they add up together. (That’s broken now too so it feels like I’m in an appliance graveyard.)

•the high temp alert beeps more than it seems it should even when the fridge is “working.” (Potential diagnostic detail)

please help,

I would like to know for sure about the evaporator fan before replacing it as I’ve read that sometimes it can end up not being the issue. I also don’t have a multimeter but could purchase one if it would help me greatly. Also, I am not a professional appliance repairman, but I have been able to fix our washer and dryer thanks to YouTube and google. I am confident I can fix almost anything but also am stay at home mom trying not to get electrocuted.

Frigidaire Refrigerator: Frigidaire water filter stuck

I have a side by side model FRSS2323AB8 and the water filter is stuck. I have looked at every youtube video about this problem and tried everything I could find. Most of the videos are for different models and the configuration is not the same. One of the videos has a technique that removes the screws that hold the manifold to this piece that has no purpose other than prevent access to the filter locking mechanism. I can't even get the screws out because there is some.. metal crap in the phillips head..
