Razer Blade Stealth 2016: Replaced battery, new battery will not work unless plugged in

My razer laptop is about 4 years old, the battery capacity was down to about 75%. I replaced the battery a few days ago and right after changing it I was able to power it on. I left it charging for a while to calibrate the battery, and tried to turn it on today. It won’t turn on now unless plugged in. I put the old battery back in, it works fine. The pins on the new battery connector all look good on both the battery and the motherboard. When plugged in, it shows the new battery at 94% and will not go higher than that, but shuts off immediately when unplugged. Could this be a defective battery? Is there anything else I’d need to do to get it to work??

Razer Blade Stealth: Why does my screen flicker every couple of seconds?

I have a Razer Blade Stealth late 2016 12.5” 4k i7 7500u. It flickers off and on, on the display every so often. I contacted Razer support and they said it was some graphic drivers that I was missing. I installed all the Intel 620 graphic drivers and it still keeps flickering. I isolated the issue by plugging in an external display and everything seemed fine. No flicker, everything was running flawless. My warranty already expired so I am trying to find solutions on how to fix this.

I have a Razer Blade Stealth 12.5, and I just bought the Razer Blade RC30-0196 Battery since my original battery dies very fast. I replaced the battery and the system can detect the new battery, and charging is good. However, when I unplugged the power adapter, my laptop shut down immediately. I think this might be a software problem, but after reinstallation of battery driver it still didn;t work. Anyone knows how to solve this problem?

Razer Blade Stealth 2017: Where to buy a reliable replacement battery in the UK?

My Razer laptop, purchased in early 2018 and which otherwise runs excellently, has a dead battery. I replaced it with one bought from Alibaba in 2022, and that one died within months. The seller gave me another for free which lasted about a year. Now that one is dying too (dies at 35 percent, only charges to 70 percent, i.e. about an hour of light use, health report changes wildly, sometimes saying over 70 percent, sometimes reporting 40 percent).

I know that iFixit in the US offers replacement batteries for this model. But there are none in stock for the UK store. Where can I buy a battery that isn't e-waste in waiting in the UK? So many sellers of replacement batteries online and on Amazon appear to be scams.

Razer Blade Stealth: Replacement batteries keep dying.

I bought a replacement battery for my Razer Blade Stealth 13.3” (2017). After installing the battery, it worked fine for a while. Then I left it to charge fully and kept it plugged in while the laptop was powered off. When I came back, the battery wasn’t working at all. I also bought a second replacement battery and installed it and the same thing happened; it worked fine, sustained charge and was charging normally. I left it plugged in and then when I tried powering the laptop on it wouldnt do anything. I used a multimeter to check and saw 0V across the terminals of both batteries. With the dead battery connected and the laptop being plugged in for power, the battery icon on the taskbar shows the battery as normal and plugged in and says “(96% available, plugged in)”, but as soon as you remove the charger the laptop switches off and doesnt power on again (on battery). I’m not sure why this happened since laptops have protection from overcharging. The original battery that came with my laptop works fine, no problems with charging (so it’s not a fault in the charger), the reason I wanted to replace it was because its capacity had decreased and wouldnt power the laptop for longer than 20 mins.

I apologize for the long description.

Any information on why this might have happened would be highly appreciated.

Razer Laptop: Razer Blade 15" 2018 model no integrated webcam detected

Common issue with the razer blade 15 specifically the 2018 model. The only solution is to RMA it, which will just have the lcd screen replaced, if no additional problems arrive by the hands of razer technicians after the computer comes back from sometimes what i’ve read, a two month wait.

I was wondering if there was anything i could do (i.e. full bezel removal and inspection, additional driver software downloads, maybe aggressively caressing my bezel and webcam surrounding area until i see some sort of indicator,etc.). I am a student and can’t really throw money around so I am open to any repair ideas/ troubleshooting.

Seems to me like a hardware issue but I have seen reports that upgrading the bios caused the integrated webcam to brick.
