Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma: Broken Plastic tip on mic, how do I replace?

I dropped my Razer Kraken headset and it landed face first now half of the plastic mic tip (the shell/cover around the mic) is broken off and I cant find a replacment or a tutorial on how to fix it. If you know how please help.

Hi! The last 2-3 pairs of these headphones I always have the same issue. A broken wire. From cats, from yanks, to many things. I am finally changing to a pair of wireless headphones from Steelseries but I wanna still try to fix these as a backup (Or if I think I did a good enough job maybe even resell) The first 2-3 inches of wire coming from the headset itself is where the broken wire is. So I can’t simply splice and repair as I think the entire wire is loose from the board. But I can’t seem to open the area where the wire is hiding. Any ideas? Google is not giving me any answers.

Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma: Wiring for Razer kraken pro. NOT 7.1 Chroma.

The reason this device is under the chroma version is simply the pro version does not exist on the device list. But i have had quite a time with this headphone.

It has 5 wires, a white, copper, green, blue, and red. The copper wire seems to surround the white wire so i supposed it was the ground, so I connected it to the ground. The green wire seemed to be the left earphone so I soldered it, and the red wire seemed to be the right earphone so i soldered it. That left the white wire for the mic so I soldered that too. I tried many combinations of wiring so this is what I ended up with and the headset was working fine, but the mic was being picked up when i inserted it into an audio splitter on my pc, but was not recognized on my macbook. The audio of the mic on the pc was glitch, blurry, and so quiet it was in audiable. I’m wondering if this is of a wiring fault or a simple short in the circuit.

Hi. I think may have yanked the cable because it seems my kraken keeps disconnecting. Its the usb version so the cable goes inside the left speaker. Any suitable repair guides for this? Much appreciated.

Hi,

I have got fed up of cutting the cable and then soldering the two parts together because they always break anyway so I decided that I’m going to cut the wire and directly connect it to the USB however it doesn’t work.

I didn’t see which colours go where before desoldering them so I looked up the colours online and soldered them but not the headset is completely dead! I will appreciate if someone is able to help me out. I will attach a picture below. Thanks

Hi IFixIt

I actually have a Razer Man’O’War but the issue is a standard one throughout headphones with built into the cabled Volume Control, the wheel controlling volume is causing an imbalance in the speakers if its on anything other then Max Volume (louder on the left or the right depending on its mood) and there is static when changing volume.

how do I Fix It?

my left speaker does an annoying sound when i move my head or when a press my left speaker against my head,it´s like something is out of place inside the speaker. this means that there is a inside damage in the speaker?
