Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma: Best way to replace the cable?

Hi! The last 2-3 pairs of these headphones I always have the same issue. A broken wire. From cats, from yanks, to many things. I am finally changing to a pair of wireless headphones from Steelseries but I wanna still try to fix these as a backup (Or if I think I did a good enough job maybe even resell) The first 2-3 inches of wire coming from the headset itself is where the broken wire is. So I can’t simply splice and repair as I think the entire wire is loose from the board. But I can’t seem to open the area where the wire is hiding. Any ideas? Google is not giving me any answers.

Razer Kraken: Correct Wire Colours to fit wire to power connector?

Razer Kraken Tournament Edition

Hello - my son is trying to fix his Razer Kraken headphone jack - and has come to me (mum - insert horror emoji here ) to help identify the wire colours. I’ve attached a photo, we don’t have the tools we need to check the wires by playing a sound and the old jack (it’s not USB) doesn’t give us access to the original wires/ my son cut them off too soon (I’m not sure). One way or another, I’m faced with 4 wires:

Red

Copper

Yellow

Green

And I don’t know which of these wires we need to solder to which part of the jack ….

Youtube has been helpful - but not helpful enough.

Really hoping you amazing people can help!

Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma: Wiring for Razer kraken pro. NOT 7.1 Chroma.

The reason this device is under the chroma version is simply the pro version does not exist on the device list. But i have had quite a time with this headphone.

It has 5 wires, a white, copper, green, blue, and red. The copper wire seems to surround the white wire so i supposed it was the ground, so I connected it to the ground. The green wire seemed to be the left earphone so I soldered it, and the red wire seemed to be the right earphone so i soldered it. That left the white wire for the mic so I soldered that too. I tried many combinations of wiring so this is what I ended up with and the headset was working fine, but the mic was being picked up when i inserted it into an audio splitter on my pc, but was not recognized on my macbook. The audio of the mic on the pc was glitch, blurry, and so quiet it was in audiable. I’m wondering if this is of a wiring fault or a simple short in the circuit.

Razer Kraken Pro V2: Razer Kraken Pro V2 Quartz Edition headset wiring and TRRS jack wiring

I have a set of Razer Kraken Pro V2 Quartz Edition headset I am trying to repair. I looked online and found that the TRRS replacement jack with a small cable piece on it, may not be a normal (Apple) style jack, but it has a Ground, Mic, Right, and then left on the end. This is the jack, 4 Pack Replacement 3.5mm Male Plug to Bare Wire Open End Headset TRRS Cord 4 Pole 1/8" Jack Stereo Audio Cable for Headphone Microphone Repair Cable 3.5mm Plug Connector for Earphone (12in) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DR4... Wires are colored, bottom to top black, green, white, and red. The information on Amazon states, that PIN 1 - red wire is the left channel, PIN 2 - white wire is the right channel, PIN 3 - green wire is mic, and PIN 4 - black wire is ground. The headset wires are colored, yellow, white, gold, red, and green. I do not have the original jack, to know what colors went to what.

I put the wires on where it said to online, but now the audio sounds like it is in a tunnel and at low volume. If I lower the balance on either side to zero, the volume goes up and it sounds normal. I found that it said the black wire off the jack would go to the yellow and gold wires on the headset. Green wire off the jack to white on the headset. White from the jack, to red on the headset. And red on the jack to green on the headset.

Update: I forgot to say, I only replaced the jack itself not the entire cable.

I tried getting the information from Razer, but that went nowhere. Why is the audio messed up and is the wires I connected correctly together?

There is nothing on your website for answers either.
