Razer Blade 15 2019: Laptop turning off when disconnected from power supply

I replaced my battery with the kit from ifixit last night and it doesn't seem to be working at all. The battery shows that it is connected but the percentage has been stuck at 0% all day. When I unplug the battery from the charger it shuts off immediately. I plugged in my swollen battery to check if my laptop was the problem but seemed to be functioning properly. Under power and battery in settings it even shows that it gained charge overnight while plugged in, but it still indicates 0% charge.

Razer Blade 15 2019: Is it still safe to use a laptop after a battery ruptures?

I purchased an IFIXIT battery back in October 2024, and the battery suddenly started smoking during the midst of my class. After picking it up and leaving it alone outside until the smoke stopped, I was wondering if its safe to use it? Based on what I can see where it ruptured, there is a small black area of residue left on the frame of the device and on the board, where on both sides a black/brown residue remains.

Razer Blade 15 2019: Replacement battery connector not fitting sung.

I had went through all of the steps listed to replace the battery in my wifes Razer Blade 15, and it doesn't want to stay powered on with just the battery. It almost looks as of the connector from the battery is not fitting snug inside. I've made sure that the connector is plugged in correctly, and I have even taken a small piece of electrical tape to try and secure it, but it still will not stay powered on.

Razer Blade 15 2019: How to charge on an airplane?

I have a 2019 blade 15 base, and am going on a trip in a few weeks. I'm planning to spend the flight working on some projects in premiere, audition, and after effects, but my battery only lasts a couple hours of heavy use. From what I understand, there is a wall outlet on the plane, but its limited to 75 watts while my power adapter is 200. My laptop also can't through usb-c, and I can't find a 75 watt power adapter for the laptop. Is there another way I can charge my laptop? Thanks!

Razer Blade 15 2019: "No Battery Present" after swapping out, but runs unplugged

Hi there! Hope the title says it all. My Razer Blade 15 (2019)'s battery was spicy pillow swelling, so I bought iFixIt's replacement. I swapped it out (thanks, guide!). I turned it on, and the laptop runs without being plugged in! Yay. However, the OS does not seem to detect there being a battery. The battery pane shows "No battery present" instead of my charge, etc.

I restarted, plugged in and unplugged, opened it back up and made sure everything was secure. It seemed to be. I restarted again, etc. I've checked Device Manager and tried to update the drivers -- everything's up to date. Scanned for new devices -- nothing. Clearly the battery is delivering power, and I took my time browsing the internet, taking screenshots, etc.

Any ideas what's up? Could the battery have a bad controller of some kind?

Razer Blade 15 2019: How to replace the BIOS chip?

I have a 2019 Blade 15 Base unit. It's been infected by a bootkit (i.e. - malware that infects the BIOS chip itself, changing the management password to a random string, so that upgrading the BIOS via Razer's utility does not work). The ONLY way to recover from it is to replace both the BIOS chip (which requires very precise soldering skills) and the SSD.

I have the replacement parts, but I need to know where, exactly, the BIOS chip is located on the motherboard, so I can have the repair done (I have a tremor that makes it impossible for me to do basic soldering tasks myself). My Blade Base is, of course, out of warranty, and I can't afford to pay Razer to repair it.

Is there a diagram or photo of the motherboard for this unit that clearly labels the BIOS chip, so I can have a local laptop repair store replace the BIOS for me?

Thanks in advance for your help!
