Logitech G29 Driving Force: Logitech G29 calibrates by turning hard left (-450°) on startup but is

Hello everyone,

I'm having an issue with my Logitech G29 (approximately 5 years old).

When I power it on, it does not perform the normal startup calibration (left → right → center). Instead, it immediately turns hard to the left (approximately -450°) and stops.

Here is what I have already tested:

The wheel is detected correctly in Windows (joy.cpl).
The wheel is detected correctly in Logitech G HUB.
The steering axis is centered correctly (50%) when the wheel is physically centered.
All buttons work normally.
I tested it on both PC (Forza Horizon) and PS4 (Gran Turismo 7), and the same issue occurs.
I tried different USB ports and different power outlets.
I reinstalled G HUB.
I downgraded G HUB to the March 2021 version and also tested the latest version.
The firmware is up to date.
The issue remains exactly the same.

There is no visible physical damage to the wheel.

Could this be caused by a faulty encoder wheel/position sensor, the force feedback motor, or the main PCB?

Has anyone experienced the same issue and successfully repaired it?

A stainless steel clip 6mm (0.25") wide, hooks one each end, fell out during disassembly, and I cant figure out where it goes.

The plastic guides that go between the metal plate that holds the steering wheel base. To mount the base to the rigs bucket style seat broke, because my metal plate didn’t had all the 4 holes lining up with the metal plate. The pattern is different and I only could put two screws instead of 4 so the wheel got lose and broke the plastic guides.I decided to use the clamp but I want to replace the guides and don’t want to use the warranty just for that. Do you guys know were I can find them even aftermarket maybe could do. If there is no og parts yet. Thanks in advance

Logitech G29 Driving Force: Why does one button on my wheel activate all the others and disconnect

When pressing either the X or square button on my g29 as they are the only buttons that work (although the steering pedals and gear shifter work as usual) on the steering wheel. Once pressed it shows as if multiple buttons are pressed although you are only pressing the one and the wheel disconnects and recalibrates. Any help is appreciated!

Hi, how's it going? I need help. I used my Logitech G27 on my PlayStation 3, and out of nowhere, from one day to the next, the steering wheel, pedals, and everything else stopped working. The only thing that doesn't work is the steering wheel itself. It doesn't turn when I turn it. I don't know what it could be. I'd like to fix this so I can use it on my PC today. when I was in motorfest and wanted to fly upwards, my up button wasn't really responding and I realized I had to mash the button if i wanted to really fly upwards. Someone please create a manual. Thanks!

my wheel is meant for the PS5 and when i plugged it in and assigned it as a controller it would work with the home app but when trying to play need for speed it does not work in the main menu when it says press x and when pressing on the wheel it does nothing but i checked the system with laptop and shows no problem and its up to date

My wheel keeps doing the calibrate function where it spinns the wheel to both sides to centre itselt. I took the case off and tightened the power port but it seems like the connection might be faulty as it wont stop re-calibrating.

Hi Im using the g29 wheel and pedals and all of a sudden it has stopped letting me get full power when using the accelerator only. The only way i can get full power down is by pressing the clutch and accelerator together.

My g920 randomly assigned buttons 1-10 to the A button and i have found people with similar issues saying its a wiring issue. When calibrating in windows 10 it shows no output for buttons 1-10 but they all show when A is pressed. The Xbox button, clutch, gas, brake and steering work properly. Im on a pc using the g920 xbox version.
