I have an old Anki Drive car (which I bought used) and which is not allowing a firmware upgrade. Anki no longer make or sell this car, and they do not do repairs. Does anyone know if there is a way to repair this? I have spare cars from which I could get spare chassis parts but how would I then tell the new chassis that it is a Spektrix and not the chassis I swap in?

Syma S107: fail to vertically lift

Helicopter fails to lift off vertically. Will lift approximately 1" at full throttle and no more.

Heli is fully charged and batteries are brand new in transmitter. Any recommendations for fixing.

4 day old Rastar La Ferrari Toy operated Ride On Car turns on but only moves backwards and not forward, either with pedal or remote. It turns wheels sideways but doesn’t move to either side because car on itself won’t walk unless it’s in reverse. Would appreciate your opinions on what could be wrong.

Turnigy 9X: Horizon Hobby refuses to send parts

I have been trying to order a very simple part for the repair of an electronic transmitter manufactured by spektrum rc (now owned by Horizon Hobby).
They continue to demand that the item must be sent in, but I have already removed the broken part and it only required removal of 6 screws. I live in NY and I know we passed a bill recently that requires some level of compliance in providing replacement parts.
Does anyone have any recommendations for how to give Horizon a little push in the right direction? It would be ridiculous and wasteful to send the whole unit in for such a simple repair.

All of a sudden my rc car didn't move when I changed the batteries of my controller, but then I changed it back to the original battery, but it still won't move, then I tried charging it but the light of the charger won't light up. The controller is fine, but something's wrong with the car. please help

The car does not have proper traction and I think there is a problem in the gearbox between electrical engine and rear wheels. I disassembled the car but I could not take out the engine and gear box because of the rear axle. I tried to pull off the rear wheels to remove the axle but it did not work. Any ideas how to do that?

Dickie Toys Lightning McQueen RC Car: How do I open the bottom cover?

I'm trying to repair/clean my son's Dickie Toys Lightning McQueen RC car, but I'm having troubles getting the car dismantled. There are three visible screws in the bottom (one under the batteries), but even after unscrewing all of them, the car body does not detach.

There are two weird-shaped holes in the bottom that look like they would maybe fit a T-shaped key about 5-7mm wide (and around 1-2 mm thick). Am I correct in assuming that they are used to attach/detach the plastic parts and that there is a special opening tool for these?

I could try to mock something up from a piece of plastic but I'd like to get some more information before I risk my fingertips with my crappy dremel.
