Q8 Camcorder: Why does my Q8 Camcoder suddenly turn off during my recording?

My Q8 Camcoder sometimes turn off when I was recording. I checked the battery and SD card spaces they all look perfectly fine. It is not a problem caused by battery and storage space. I could not find the reason why the camera suddenly blackout during my recording process which makes me very frustrated, and I cannot make a complete recording since I can not predict when it’s going to be dead.

I know there are differences in the audio between the Q8, Q4, and Q4n models but I was wondering what makes the audio in the Q8 so much better.

My screen brook in 4 places. I have no idea how it happened, wasn’t dropped. Anyone know if it can be replaced or if I can use the microphones without the screen working?

The video quality on this camera is really bad - particularly in low light. The audio quality and options are really good.

Given its been on the market for a few years - and technology has improved - I expect there are better sensors that are available at relatively low cost. I’d rather do this than throw this one away and look for a replacement.

Is there a way I can replace the sensor with something better? Particularly better low light performance.

I’d like to retain the functionality/appearance - so the new sensor would hopefully be a direct replacement for whatever is in there now. I don’t mind soldering if needed.

Q8 Camcorder: How do I tighten my LCD screen

The LCD screen on my Q8 used to be firm, so when you rotate it, the motion is stable. Now (after a fall) the screen is loose to the point that it can rotate with ease. Is there a way to strengthen the base of it so it can return to how it was? I am not certain if it is a ball at the base or a base that pops in place to re-secure it.

Please advise
