I’m having a power issue with my Samsung The Freestyle projector and was hoping to get some diagnostic help.

The Symptom:

When I connect the power cable, the small LED indicator on the front lights up. However, the projector does not actually turn on. When I press the power button on the remote, the LED blinks/flashes in response, but the fan doesn't spin up and there is no light output from the lens.

What I've tried so far:

• Checked the power cable and adapter (using the original Samsung 65W USB-C brick).

• Tried a different wall outlet.

• Attempted to power it on using the button on the unit itself, but it still won't boot.

Is this a known mainboard failure, or could it be a software hang that requires a specific hard reset sequence? Any advice on which internal components I should check or test with a multimeter would be greatly appreciated.

Projectiondesign F35 AS3D Vizsim 1080

When attempting to do a firmware update it comes up with the message detected firmware and a few seconds, prompts to remove the USB after reading its contents reboots after that, but nothing is installed.

Current firmware is 010-0003-09

Trying to update to 010-0003-25 downloaded from Barco website.

Have followed instructions in manual on Barco website.

Memory stick has USB FAT-file system and the unzipped release.tar on the root of the USB memory stick.

Have downloaded the firmware twice and tried two different USB memory sticks.

Am I missing a step not mentioned in the manual?

Are there any stupid things I might be doing wrong without releasing it?

When I turn on my projector, it sometimes works fine initially but after a while, the brightness suddenly drops within 2–3 seconds, leaving the screen blank. On other occasions, the problem is present right from the start—there’s no display even when I turn it on for the first time. Sometimes, I can resolve the issue by turning it off and back on, but other times I have to wait—either keeping it running with no image or turning it off for a while before restarting. Over time, this issue has become more frequent.

What could be causing this problem, and is it fixable?

These random purple lines appeared on my projection a while ago. The projector had been out of use and stored. The projector is moved around often and is not always stored flat. It got worse over time, starting in the corner and working its way outward. Does anyone know what causes this and if there's a way to fix it?
