My wf-7710 has developed poor vertical alignment and the Epson procedure doesn’t seem to help. Indeed whatever I do seems to make things worse. The alignment page lines mostly show large white gaps in every position. I’m reluctant to dump it because everything else seems to work. What can I do?

work force pro printer 4630: Problem downgrading the firmware of an Epson WF-7840

Good morning everyone,

I've had the bad idea to upgrade the firmware of our Epson WF-7840 (version CD17M6 now).

Now, our non epson cartridges are not recognised anymore.

I've search the web about how to downgrade the firmware. I found the procedure, found how to put the printer in "recovery mode" and, on the Epson website, I found the "Recovery Mode Firmware version CB08LC" for the Epson WF-7840.

But it doesn't work...

First problem, the model of the printer does not appear in the "Epson firmware updater" but it sees that a printer is connected.

Second problem, and it is where it stops, when I launch the Update, it fails with a message on the printer's screen "Data file not found".

I tried with my mac (macbook pro 16" m1 max) and with an older macbook pro from 2009 with the same result. I tried with another USB cable and still no luck.

What am I doing wrong?

Epson WF-2540: Why is the printer not turning on?

I bought this printer last year and never touched it or took it out of the box until now. The printer is brand new. I set up the internet connection without any problem. However, I started printing and all of a sudden, the printer turned off by itself. I tried turning it back on but would not turn on. I even tried changing plugs to see if the plug is the problem.

I queued way too many papers for my printer to handle and it got jammed. I had no idea I can open up the back side to remove it so I opened the scanner unit and forcefully pulled out the paper from under the roller, so I think I broke something.

I found a small gear that came out but I reattached it ( red circle ) but there's also a spring that I have no idea where it came from. Check it attached photo, you can see the spring right there

HP Photosmart 2575 All-in-One Printer: Why won't the printer grab the heavier paper?

I just ran into this problem this morning. My printer used to be able to grab paper of all different thicknesses and run them through. However, now it will only grab very thin paper.

When I send something to the printer, I can hear the rollers spin and the paper wiggles just a tiny bit (indicating, to me, that there is some contact between the rollers and the paper). There are even "tread marks" on the paper, so that indicates to me that the rollers are trying to grab the paper. But, it just can't seem to "lift" the heavier paper. What I tried was pushing the heavier piece of paper at the start of the print cycle, then the printer was able to grab paper and run it through.

For now, I guess I'll just run cheap, thin paper through the printer. But, I'd like to figure out if there's a way to fix this before I decide to get a new printer.

My relatively new Brother MFC-L3750CDW has developed a fault where the upper rear paper feed rollers are grinding noisily. It looks as if some teeth on the plastic gears at the side have broken off or worn down (see photo). Does anyone know if this is a relatively easy fix and how to do it? I’ve tried taking the side panels off, but the gears I need to access look like a nightmare to get to. Thanks!

Epson Printer L6170: My printer keeps printing blank pages and gives a paper size error

My printer keeps printing blank pages and gives a paper size error, how to fix it?

1、The paper size settings match on both the computer and the printer.

3、I have already replaced the pick-up roller, but the error persists. It still randomly prints blank pages and reports a paper size mismatch.

Now I heavily suspect it is an issue with the PE sensor (registration sensor) or its return spring. Any advice on how to clean or replace the sensor spring for Epson ET-3750?

Epson Printer: Epson Expression Home XP-5200 - Error 100016

Hello, I just bought an Epson Expression Home XP-5200 from a seller on eBay, and it arrived with the mentioned fault. I notified the seller, and they refunded me and told me to keep the printer.

I have now looked up this error and found many fixes.

Here is what I have tried so far.

1) Removed power cable while printer on, waited 60 sec, held power button for 30 secs, plugged power cable back in

Outcome: Ran printer, same issue.

2) Removed the side cover, unplugged the two ribbon cables nas the reseated the, the smaller one with the blue tab facing down, and the larger one with the blue tab facing up.

Outcome: Ran printer, same issue

3) Removed the scanner completely, opened the scanner and checked all cables. Moved the carriage over to the middle, gave everything a clean, and put it all back together.

Outcome: Ran printer; scanner carriage moved to the start position, then the error code appeared again.

Now, one of the suggested fixes for these issues is a firmware update; however, the error screen will not let me do anything. I can't reset the printer, which was another suggestion. I have no ink in the printer, which was another suggestion for the error code, but I still have no way to bypass the error screen.

So, please, if anyone knows how or if I can bypass the error screen, I may be able to reset the printer. Or is this just a brick destined for land fill (recycle)
