Power Tool Accessory: How do I open them and cell replacement

These two old Makita 1434 drill batteries have surpassed the end of their life. I was trying to get a look inside so I could replace the cells but the case has no screws, look at the pictures. There aren't any under the label either.

Their Ni-MH, so can I replace them with Li-on? As long as their the same type of cell (possibly C) it should work?

When I plug it in, it will flash once and then the light will fade out and won’t do anything. Second battery to do this. I have a second dcb606 that does the same thing.

Ryobi BCL14181H: Why doesn't my charger work?

The charger for my Ryobi One plus BCL14181H doesn't work. I took to pieces it and saw that one of resistance and transistor were burned. I replaced the resistance, but i can't see the number of transistor. It would be good if someone makes photos of sceme and of transistor and writes the number of this transistor.

One cell in battery found faulty and changed, but still will not charge and charger now appears to have fault on it. Not sure how to check, have tried testing at outlet terminals for voltage with multimeter and cannot find a voltage reading. Can you assist? I hate this throw away society regards

Ryobi BCL14181H: Trying to repair my Ryobi BCL14181H battery charger

I have a BCL14181H battery charger (Ryobi) that does not charge. No blown parts. I am having trouble identifying components. Does anyone know the component number for U5? It is a 20 pin SMD chip. Also there are some components that look like an SMD resistor but appear to be jumpers. they are labeled RJ1, etc. Component U4 has what looks like T8L05 stamped on it. Anyone have an idea what it is?

I tried it with a battery that is at 16.5 volts and it doesn't work. I can put the battery in a known good charger and it charges up.

Mountfield MCG48 Li 48v Battery Charger: Value of RS1 resistor

I have a faulty Mountfield battery charger, which is now obsolete. Can anyone let me know the value of RS1, the part has burnt out and value unreadable. I've removed the component, tried to remove flux but this has damaged the part further! It also looks as if there may be a missing RS2? Thanks.

Power Tool Accessory: help identifying a resistor value

Can someone help me identify a busted resistor in first picture, it's shorted so I cannot read it with multimeter. It's to a Milwaukee 12v battery charger.

I cannot tell which end to start reading from, I know the ones closer together are read first but these look equidistant to me. It's either 1M ohms or 140 ohms. guessing 1M, but want input b4 soldering in

Second picture is a resistor 2 spots over that is 1.5m ohms as the brown green and black are closer to each other than the yellow. But on the first one, all look same distance to me.
