Craftsman Electric Drill 31510113 2015: Chuck removal on a Craftsman power drill

I have a model 315. 101 100 that I bought many years ago. I would like to attach it to a Craftsman Dowling jig which requires the removal of the Chuck. Most Chucks unscrew counterclockwise once a screw is removed, from the barrel of the Chuck.

Using a bright light, I see no screw, nor hex nut to remove. The base of Chuck has two flattened sides so as to accept an incredible thin wrench 🔧. The wrench might have come with the drill when bought, but is presently absent, and local tool stores carry no such wrench.

What do you recommend ? Can I lock the Chuck on a 90° HEX wrench and strike it hard in a CCW direction ?

FixHub Smart Soldering Iron: Soldering Iron failed firmware update

I tried to update the firmware on my FixHub Soldering Iron. But the update failed partway through and now the iron seems bricked. It isn't recognized by either the Power Station or a computer.

Is there anyway to fix this?

This might be one of the worst updating features i have ever used. Not matter what i do. No matter what cable. No matter what version i cannot update my device to get it back to a usable state. Does anyone have any ideas on how i can get this soldering set back to working condition and not in a endless loop of failed updates

Hello community, recently I brought this Ryobi SDS65. Went I finally goin make the first use, I notice that rotary hamner mode wasn't engaging, the drill and the chissel mode works well. I proceed to openen and check the issue because I throw to the trash the box some weeks ago. Went I open the transmission chamber everything pop out 😑. I already found the issue (selector rod was jammed with him self), but due to the pop out of the assemblies, not know the correct position of the pieces. I do some reverse engineering and have some advances, but I stuck here, and went I try to putted back to the chamber, not fit well, soo I don't know if I assembled the pieces correctly and don't know the trick to assemble back to the chamber without everything dismount again and fit well.

Ryobi Cordless Stapler P360 2016: It stopped shooting staples.

It is a Ryobi Cordless Stapler P360, but I dunno' what year.

It makes the normal noise, but doesn't shoot a staple.

Sometimes makes the Click sound (like when pushing a staple)

but no staple comes out.

Battery is full. Air pressure dial is at almost maximum.

Light comes on intermittently.

I'd gladly take it apart before simply trashing it.

Is there a DIY fix I can attempt?

Hakko FX-888D: I broke the stem off of the rotary encoder knob on my HAKKO FX888DX.

I was trying to put a 3D printed knob on and it got stuck, I ended up breaking the stem off of the encoder while trying to remove the knob. There were two little plastic nubs that were on the shaft that interface with the mechanism within the encoder and they broke off. Is there a way I can fix this without replacing the encoder?

I do have a 3D printer and may try printing a stem, but I would like a more permanent solution

I am looking for a replacement trigger switch for my Black & Decker BDCDMT120 20V Matrix cordless drill. I have identified the part number as 90584431, but it appears to be discontinued or no longer available (NLA) through most major parts distributors.

Does anyone know of a compatible alternative trigger switch or a substitution part number that works for this specific model? Are there generic 20V variable speed switches that are known to fit the housing and handle the current?

I am comfortable with soldering if needed, but I want to make sure the replacement will physically fit and function correctly with the Matrix system. Any advice or sources would be greatly appreciated!

My drill is b&d that you can change it into circular saw, impact, drill or anything. When try turning it on after re-applying the battery and pull the power a lil bit, there's a sound which indicates there's a power, but when I pull the power all the way it won't spin and suddenly a smoke came out on reverse button
