Polycom Soundstation: What is the dip switch unit for

On the Soundstation there is a 4 switch DIP switch unit under the silver corner of the label on the back of the device. What is this switch for? Mine is currently set at on on on off or maybe off off off on. Does this by any chance affect the cutover point between incoming and outgoing sound levels? I hope so!
