Every time I take a photo, the light is green, the flash goes off and it makes the sound like a photo should come out but none of my pictures are ejecting. I have a new pack of film in it and everything.

Polaroid One-Step 600: How to replace light blocker.

Hi, I was showing off my camera with some friends and one of them accidentally broke it. They pull the light cover out and it took a small piece of plastic with it. What is the easiest way to replace the light cover as I’m not good at using screwdrivers as I tend to strip the screws.

Update: Turns out the small piece of plastic was the thing holding the light blocker in place. Fixed it. Link to fix

I purchased this polaroid 600 from an antique store and popped in a new cartridge of film. It ejected the black slide and a green light turned on but when I hit the shutter button nothing happens.

Hi there,

If I insert a film pack (brand new, multiple different packs) and close the film door, the camera mechanism engages and spits out the darkslide. However, when I then try to take a picture, there is a muted click and nothing happens. From what I can see on the outside the shutter is not fully opening, so I think it may have become stuck in some way, which is in turn causing the main camera mechanism to fail.

Any ideas?

The strap on the side of the camera has snapped in multiple places, it was just fragile.

The flash in my camera will fire up when I open the camera but nothing happens when I take the picture. Meaning that the light comes on and I can hear the sound of the flash warming up but it doesn't fire when I take the picture. Is there any way to replace the flash in this particular camera?

It sounds like I might need to just buy a new camera, the thing is pretty old so I can understand if that's the case. They are pretty cheap on eBay..

I can insert fresh film and open the camera, but when I take a picture it's just all black. And when I take the picture the flash doesn't go off. I can hear the camera whistling and the green light comes on but when you click the button to take a picture nothing happens. It makes a flash noise, but there's no light.

Found at a thrift shop seemed in working order took test photo and flash area started to smoke. Not a full fledge flames but the familiar smell of smoking plastic and tiny smoke fumes started to come from the flash area. It should be mentioned that when i took the photo the flash didn't go off

How can I dismantle the flash part ? I need to reconnect the flat wires that were torn from the flash... I tried to lift the front panel, but I can't see what holds it in place to remove it without braking anything... Thanks !

I have a Polaroid OneStep Auto Focus camera that the shutter continues to open and close on its own. I am unsure why when I do not manually push the photo button. I am using just an empty film battery cartridge.

I have a new Polaroid i-Type and the film is coming out green all the time. I don’t know how to fix it, the lens looks tinted green so I don’t know if that’s something I can change or not. I just got this camera and I seriously hope it’s not messed up. I haven’t added anything to it other than film. The IS meant for Polaroid OneStep 600, but on the package it says it also works on mine.
