Polaroid slr 680: My Polaroid prints all the photos in the pack without interruption

Hello, my Polaroid SLR 680 has a problem, even though I've been using it for over 10 years without any problems.
Every time I connect a new pack of photos, the camera releases all the films one by one, as if I had my finger continuously pressed on the shutter button. If I try to stop the process by pressing the shutter button, the process stops, but when I remove my finger, it starts again. Do you have any ideas?
Thank you for your help.

Polaroid Sun 600 LMS: No photo, No red LED

Similar to this post, putting in a new film pack will spit out the top card, and everything sounds fine, but pressing the button to take a photo does nothing. However, unlike that post, I don't have a red "charging" light come on; I've searched all over the device, and inside the view finder, but I haven't seen a red light anywhere.

I have looked here and here and tried this stuff, but neither have helped me.

I HAVE gotten this to reliably take and print out photos, but only if the lens assembly is fully closed; even a slight lift will cause it to not work. Which does nothing, as with the lens assembly closed, the lens is blocked and just takes a photo of the inside of the unit.

The film pack was manufactured by Polaroid June 2024, and I'm using this in October 2024. Battery voltage is 5.84V, which should be more than good enough for a 6V system

Polaroid One-Step 600: How to replace light blocker.

Hi, I was showing off my camera with some friends and one of them accidentally broke it. They pull the light cover out and it took a small piece of plastic with it. What is the easiest way to replace the light cover as I’m not good at using screwdrivers as I tend to strip the screws.

Image of the light cover rolled up (quarter for scale)

Update: Turns out the small piece of plastic was the thing holding the light blocker in place. Fixed it. Link to fix

Polaroid One-Step 600: Spits out dark slide but takes no photos

Hi there,

If I insert a film pack (brand new, multiple different packs) and close the film door, the camera mechanism engages and spits out the darkslide. However, when I then try to take a picture, there is a muted click and nothing happens. From what I can see on the outside the shutter is not fully opening, so I think it may have become stuck in some way, which is in turn causing the main camera mechanism to fail.

Any ideas?
