PlayStation 4 Pro: PS4 Pro games constantly crashing (ce-34878-0)

Hello, I have this PS4 Pro (cuh-7100) where all of a sudden games are crashing on me with error code ce-34878-0

I already pointed out it has to be hardware issue because here is what I tried:

1. Completely reinstalled system software with USB stick on NEW HDD I had (so I also replaced the disk in the process)

2. Tried digital/cd version of games (both crashing randomly often few minutes after start but not at the same time just random, always within 10 minutes)

3. Tried with and without network connection

4. Tried logged in and signed off, in both states crashing

5. tried with tottaly clean and fresh system after installing software through USB on new HDD, NO GAME DATA ARE SAVED ON CONSOLE

All the internet tips are tottaly off me as most of them are regarding software issue or the ones I have already tried. Anyone was in my situation and managed to solve it?

Update (02/01/2020)

I figured console might be overheating as this would make a lot of sense, however fan is working properly, so I am not sure how to eliminate this one.

I have the console dissasembled cleaned everything going for new thermal paste and we will see.

PlayStation 4 Pro: Why is my ps4 turning off when I start a game

Earlier today I was playing fortnite because I recently wiped my ps4 because of crashing and on reddit people were telling me to and then I got off because textures weren’t loading the entire time so I went into safe mode and rebuilt data base (another suggestion by reddit users) once I was done with that it was working fine and I had the same issue with textures so I got off and now when I turn it on Netflix is only working every time I try to get on a game it starts the loading process and then the screen goes black and the light bar on the ps4 stays white for about 10 seconds turns off the ps4 and then it brings me to the screen as if I unplaced my ac power cord. This issue keeps happening and I need an answer. Please and thank u to anyone willing to help.

PlayStation 4 Pro: High-pitched rattling / buzzing noise in the back of the console

My ps4 pro started making a high-pitched rattling sound (comes from the back where the cables / power supply (?) are). It doesn’t do that when I start the console, but while I play a game and takes a while to stop. It also seems to be worse with some games and better/ non-existent with others. I opened it to look at the fan but saw nothing, it’s not even dusty. Also, fan is located at the front of the console. What could it be?

/edited the question to better describe the noise

PlayStation 4 Pro: Help finding HDMI SMD capacitor values

I recently took in a WLOD PS4 pro and was attempting my first ever HDMI IC chip replacement. I successfully removed the chip, but accidentally nudged these two (what I think are) SMD capacitors off the board and lost them. Does anyone know what size or better yet where I can find these components?

The motherboard model is an NVG-004.

It was suggested I try taking components from a PS4 slim, but the slim model’s components are larger than these, and I have yet to get access to a junk PS4 pro board.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

PlayStation 4 Pro: Is my PS4 Pro GPU bad?

It does this on various games, but I just bought the new Call of Duty and it's unplayable I had this same issue with Rainbow Six: Siege but I have no issues in Overwatch, Rocket League or other games. Just don't know what's going on. I'll add that after the issue with siege last year I took the ps4 pro apart and made sure it was clean and it really was pretty dust free on the inside. This is the first version of the pro and I've had it since it was released.

Video example of what's happening and it's noticeable about 5 seconds into it. It's much much worse in Siege and the rainbow glitch effect cover 99 percent of the screen. I've tried a factory reset, switching hdmi ports, different tv's, turning off and on hdr and even on rainbow six using the digital download version and none of that fixed the issue. Is it a gpu issue or? What's weird is the issue has persisted for a long time but only effects certain games (so far just this one and siege unless I forgot about one)

And if you think that is playable, well, here is siege - ++https://streamable.com/bp078++

I've had this issue too many times. This is my 5th PS4 Pro in 6-7 months, my current one still works but if my current PS4 is going to start doing this again, I'm no doubt going too GAME to either get my PS4 fixed or replaced. I haven't long bought the white PRO, maybe 2 months now I've had it. Does anyone know why this keeps happening? At this point I'm getting sick of this, I'm buying Pro's left and right, I'm getting a PC soon but my friends are on PS4 and I like the games on there. My first Pro was bought a little over a year ago, from that point I've gone through 5 more. If anyone has any advice or fixes, I would much appreciate It! But, I have a feeling I'm still going to end up going to get it fixed or replaced. I hope to not end up buying a 6th PS4 Pro.

PlayStation 4 Pro: Re-did thermal paste and now PS4 Pro won't turn on. APU or PSU?

Today I re-did the thermal paste on my PS4 Pro and now it won't turn back on. I have the similar issue where it flashes for a second and then dies. The fans don't kick on but the eject button is working. I also don't need to unplug it but need to wait a few seconds in between trying the power button again for it to respond.

After I did the thermal paste it did turn back on but got to the login screen and froze up completely. Since then it has only done the mentioned on then off.

I don't want to purchase a power supply if it will not fix this so is anyone confident in saying if this is a PSU issue or caused by my APU?

PlayStation 4 Pro: Rear USB Damaged, replace?

My USB on the rear of the PS4 Pro got damaged. (Wait for console to cool down before removing rear cables) I paid for an Xtra 3 rear warranty (was in warranty when happened) but was told I broke it so no repair.

The USB port had either shrunk or the cable expanded. When I removed the USB cable, the port came with it. As in the plastic piece that covers the ports pins. When I tried to reconnect it not knowing what happened the pins got bent. I tried to fix them after I was told I wasn't covered.

Now year later I have two ports. But one is the external HDD the there is my TAC for mix and headphones. I miss the 3rd USB. If I connect the HDD to one USB and use the other for say a USB hub. Will this be better than fix it by the rear USB. Also does the PS4 have enough power for the port. Or do I need a powered hub?

Steering wheel, Camera, controllers and other devices. I have USB hubs with there own socket. But some devices need to be connected to the PS4.

PlayStation 4 Pro: PS Pro SMD Values on NVB-003 Motherboard near Southbridge

Hello to all my fellow diy repair hobbyists,

I have a PS4 Pro NVB-003 motherboard whose Southbridge I replaced.

Long story short, some SMD components flew off during the reflow process, both from side A and from side B. I can clearly tell some areas that have missing smds but some pads were bare from the start. I recovered some caps but don't know where to resolder 'em(If they were are all the same cap value, then I know they go on the data bus lines entering the Southbridge).

Would anybody be so kind as to i) Confirm the missing components, and ii) bust out their multimeter on their own PS4 NVB 003 motherboard and show me the values of these components? I have them highlighted(and numbered in the attached photos.(Orange means missing for certain, while yellow means not sure if anything was there to begin with)

I hope this question helps more people who are searching for these values!

[EDIT: the spots are clearer on the photos now, I removed the yellow highlights, as they were indeed bare to begin with. The circled spots are capacitors, the squares resistors]

Here they are:

PlayStation 4 Pro: My PS4 pro wont turn on, power button not working, but eject botton do

I didnt turn on my ps4 pro for 2 weeks, today when i turned it on it gave up on me.

the behaviour is as follows,

when I switch on power from wall socket and try turn it on form the 1st time it gave me 3 beeps and turned off, when i tried to tun it on it gave a beep and went into safe mode. which ever option i try in safe mode it boots back to safe mode(loop). Tried update with pendrive and also full reinstall as well.
i read somewhere that power input issues, so I tried unplugging and put the adaptor in different socket. the things went further bad.
now i cant turn on my ps4 pro at all, power button stopped responding, i can’t turn on using my controller (tried both wired and wireless).
I was using a ssd, so I tried replacing with original HDD as well. same behaviour.

I thought my ps is dead, then suddenly i clicked on eject button and it gave 2 beeps saying no disk in bay. so i tried inserting a disk, and my ps4 pro started to boot and again it went into safe mode loop, like earlier.
So I am not sure what is the problem is, is it anything i can fix or hardware issue.
Any helps on how to proceed further is highly appreciated .
