Phone Accessory: Issue with my Bluetooth headset

I am having an issue with my Bluetooth headset and I’m not sure what’s going on.

It connects to my phone, but the audio is very inconsistent. Sometimes calls work fine, but other times I either get no sound at all or the audio switches back to the phone speaker even though the headset still shows as connected.

It also feels pretty random, it can work one moment and stop the next without me changing anything.

Has anyone experienced something like this or knows what could be causing it?

The earpiece has been sitting in a miscellaneous electronics box in my Grandma's office for over 5 years. If the device needs some repairing, I am open to doing so. The device has turned on before, but has never shown up on broadcasting devices (phones, laptops, etc.).

My Pokemon Go Plus + has an issue that whenever the main button is pressed, it will flash once and then make the sound that happens when it connects to a device but in this case it had not connected to anything. I've tried reseting it many times but the same problem keeps occurring. I am not able to connect it to my device and the device doesn't pick up any trace of the Go plus when I attempt to connect it before it immediately turns off again.

I own a Bluetooth headset Monster N 206 and recently i can't seem to turn it off.

Normally, you need to put the earbuds in the case and it will power them off automatically and start recharging them. But now, I need to manually disconnect them from the cellphone or computer and plug the case, as if i need to charge the case, to make them start charging and to make them stay off.

I bought a cheap, already used, pair of them to try troubleshooting the problem further by myself (I think the problem probably come from the case itself), but until I receive them I was trying to find information on how to repair them but I can't seem to find any information or tear down of those kind of earbud on the web and since they have no visible screw on the outside, I think i will probably need a heat gun to unglue the top to see if something inside is broken or what is happening.

Any help, tip of suggestions would be welcome :)
