Panasonic Lumix ZS50: When I zoom in a little, the view becomes blurred.

At first, the view is in focus. After I begin zooming in very much (yes, I can hear the motor) the photo view becomes blurry. (I see 1.6 across the screen) If I try zooming back out all the way, the photo view stays blurry; however, if I turn off the camera and on again, the photo view again is clear until I try zooming in very much I have reset to factory and that did not change the problem. Yes, I am a novice.

Panasonic Lumix ZS50: Why does using the zoom function automatically switch to macro focus?

For no apparent reason, when I try to use the zoom feature on my ZS50 (in any mode), it automatically switches to macrofocus, resulting in blurry pictures. Retracting the zoom lens doesn't fix the problem, but if I turn the camera off and then back on again, it takes sharp pictures -- until I try to zoom. In other words, it's now acting like a very nice point-and-shoot camera with no zoom capabilities. I've tried doing a factory re-set and installing new batteries. Is there a known firmware issue, and if so, how can I fix it? Thank you.

Panasonic Lumix ZS50: The lens doesn't focus properly with auto-focus

The camera gives the correct in focus signal, but the plane of focus is much closer when in wide angle. In telephoto it will focus and also with the focus assist IR beam in low light! It gives an error code: 18000930- zoom sensor error- Mechnaical Lock FP9005-(1) 2 isgnalline, or IC6001 (Venus FHD) . To explain, when I half depress the shutter, it seeks focus, but goes through a clear focus and ends up being very out of focus. I have tried 'reset', but no change.
