Panasonic Blu-Ray Player: Won't play Blu Ray disks anymore, only DVDs

My Blu-ray player will no longer play Blu-ray discs. It tries to read it, and then just stops and this message appears on the screen: "Cannot Read, please check the disk". But, It plays DVDs just fine -- no problem at all. I have tried older Blu-rays from as far back as 2007. Today, I even opened a brand new Blu-ray disk -- never played before. And the same thing happened. Could there be something wrong with whatever technology is specific to playing Blu-ray disks?

BTW - my player is the DMP-BD85, not 89, but I didn't see that listed on this site.

Panasonic DMP-BD89: Blu-Ray Recorder Won't turn on with remote but will manually

I have a Panasonic DMP-BDT270 Blu-Ray 4k Player. That was not an option under devices so I said I have a BD 89 in order to get this question posted.

The remote no longer works with my Blu-Ray player. Can’t turn it on with remote. I can, however, turn it on manually… but then the remote still won’t work to allow me to move on-screen to select Episodes or scenes on the DVD. It just shows it’s on the TV but won’t play the disc inserted in it.

In summary, I can only turn the blu-ray player on and off manually. Remote won’t do anything. Also, I have changed batteries and then bought a replacement remote and that doesn’t work either.

Panasonic DP-UB150-K: Disc Spins No Power Up?

I have a recently purchased used Panasonic DP-UB150 4K BluRay player. Worked fine for about a month (2-3 hour run time) In the middle of watching a film, the screen became distorted and stopped working. Upon powering down I’ve found it will no power back up. It is receiving some kind of power because the disc drive does spin, and the device beeps when I plug it in but I cannot get the red power light to come on, nothing from the remote, and is not recognized on my TV. I’ve tried another power 12V cord, multi power downs etc. Anyone have any ideas?
