PSP Go: fully charged psp go seem to lose power in 2 days without using

hi, i bought pre-owned psp go which was on some earlier generation of cfw (not infinity). i recently started playing with it and realised the psp go will not turn on unless i plug in power supply and let it charge, even though i fully charged it 2-3 days before and not playing it at all.

it charges fine and turns on, and im asked to set time and date every time.

i have since updated the firmware to latest and applied infinity, still has the battery drain issue.

i then ordered a replacement battery and tried that, the battery still drains within couple of days after i manually turned it off.

could this be an hardware issue like logic board constantly discharging the battery?

some google search relate the time/date reset to issue with flash 0 or flash 1 partition, and i can’t seem to find any update to date info on how to reformat those partition without risking brick the psp go.

I just bought a PSP Go & was told that sometimes it lights up & will play but then goes Black with Back Light still on. I thought it was a Software issue because it’s been modded so I did a Hard reset & it went Lit/Black and lines but NO Game or visible options though I do have sound. Is it the LCD itself that’s broken or does anyone have an idea on what it could be? I greatly appreciate anyone to take the time to read this & possibly help me.

PSP Go: Not charging and Wifi is dead

Hi, I’ve been troubleshooting my psp go for a while now with no luck. At first the battery was completely dead, but I took it out and charged it externally with a TP4056 board. After that the battery held its charge and I was able to turn on the psp go. However I’m still not able to get the thing to charge. I have plugged it into a wall charger, pc, and a usb powerbrick. It is pulling zero amps. I took it apart and started shooting wires. I get power up to a certain point on the board with the battery disconnected so I know the charger is making contact. I’ve checked fuses, one was actually blown, but that ended up being for my speakers.

along with the charging issue, my wifi will not turn on. No green light and will not connect to anything wifi related in settings.

could they be related? Any ideas on fixing charging? Don’t need wifi so I’m less concerned, but any ideas on what to check?

I just bought a PSP Go and it will not charge. The orange light never comes on. I bought a new battery and the PSP Go turns on and plays fine but still will not charge.
PSP Go: Two consoles charging, but not turning on

I was rooting through my collection of consoles in the attic this weekend looking for my PSP Go, and I discovered that I have not one, but two of them (I buy far too much junk). Unfortunately, the consoles are not working. I bought them both off eBay a few years ago. I can’t remember if one of these units ever worked, so it’s not unlikely that both of them might have been dead when I received them. This means that I don’t know their history, so can’t tell whether they’ve ever been modded.

Both units exhibit similar, but not identical behaviour:

- Both units appear to charge when plugged in (the orange light comes on)

- On Unit A, the green light comes on when I switch it on, and stays on until I power down the unit (by activating the power slider for a few seconds)

- On Unit B, the green light comes on when I switch it on, but it switches itself off after a few moments

- Neither unit displays anything on the screen

- Neither unit makes any sound at all

I fully disassembled and reassembled Unit A last night, checking for any damage and making sure all the cables are firmly seated. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find anything and the exercise made no difference.

Can anybody offer any advice?

PSP Go: How do I fix the black screen?

I had dropped my PSP GO couple of months ago. Didn't want to bother repairing it at the time, but decided to do it now. Basically the problem was that the handheld itself would boot up, I would be able to navigate through the menu, but I won't see anything as the screen remains blank.

I have disassembled it following one of the guides on this site, to check if maybe there was a loose cable somewhere or something of the sort - didn't help(or I overlooked something). Then I assumed that the issue is with the screen itself and ordered a new one. After replacing the screen I had experienced the same problem. Therefore I most likely have 2 working psp screens atm. I had tried to check online for other solutions or explanations of the issue I'm having to no avail. I've seen some people with similar problem stating that their handheld is bricked, but I hardly believe that is possible in my case.

I would appreciate any help or information.
