PSP 300x: Why wont my Psp wont turn on or charge?

My psp has been sitting for over a year. I took it to a used game store and tried several different chargers and nothing. Not even the charge light came on. It will turn on if you put a battery in it that has a charge but if you try to charge it still nothing happens.

PSP 3000: PSP turns on with green light but screen doesn't light up

I didn't start my PSP up for a very long while (at least a year or two) and when I tried to power it on, the battery was (quite obviously) dead and I had to borrow it from my friend because my charger is missing, but when I tried to start it up, what I stated in the question title happened and the battery is most likely to be fine as my friend's PSP could start properly with this battery.

Thank you for answering.

Mise à jour (24/08/2017)

Case closed, the screen might be a cause, but I think the real culprit is most likely defects of motherboard. I probably didn't store the PSP properly and the the motherboard probably got a bit oxidized at somewhere that we don't want it to happen. Anyway I'm off for a second hand one and put my old friend on a display shelve.

PSP 3000: Why wont my psp3001 connect to my wireless router?

I have like 17 psp games but no psp console so today I got a used one. When I went home I tried to connect it to my wireless router. When the list of routers came up after scanning for them, my router showed up in the list but said incompatible. I tried clicking on it and nothing happened. The connection speed I have is 2.4G and 5.0G but only 2.4 showed up. . All of the other routers that showed up said incompatible also .My thought is that since this version of psp playstation portable devices is almost 10 years old the wireless connector of the psp is old and not as strong as todays electronics so it cant handle the connection speed my house router has, am I right? When I lived In my old house with my psp 3001 I had before, it connected fine, but the router for my old house is just as old as the psp 3001 is. So I think that the older router put out a slower speed that the psp could handle. Am I correct? Is their any way in the settings where I can get it to connect? I need to get to the part where I put in my routers password to then proceed to connect and it wont let me. Thanks.

PSP 3000: Is the PSP 3000 motherboard Hot-Swappable?

I recently tried to update my psp firmware, though,at the time, I had lost my battery cover. As you would expect, my battery popped out and there we got a full brick!

Anyways, I read on a forum that changing your motherboaard fixes the brick(?), and I was wondering if the PSP's motherboard fixes the problem, and if it does, is it hot-swappable or is there a device key bound with the rest of the system?

PSP 300x: PSP3004: Green light and nothing else.

Hello,

I just bought a PSP 3004 form the Flea-Market (Which may or may not hase been a good idea, but at 20€ i thought “Whatever“). I want to use it as an emulator platform.

On the outside it looks perfect, no scratches whatsoever

there was no Battery nor memory-stick included

With the original powercable plugged in, i used the power switch to turn it on. Then only the green “Power-light“ turns on and goes out after approx. 20 seconds.

No sound, no display, no nothing

I’ve tried the following, with no luck:

Holding the R-trigger and turning it on

Same with both L- and R-trigger

Same with the PS-Button

Is it worth trying to fix this? I read a little bit about Pandora-Batteries and magic-memory sticks and am willing to put around 30 € (and some time, i like tinkering) into it.

Thank you in advance!
