PSP 2000: Why am I getting irregular voltages from the psp charging socket. and

The batteries of my psp 2000 and psp 1000 game consoles were dead. I used the original bms circuit of the batteries and assembled them on circuits with the same epproom, but it cannot charge the new 1500 mah 3.7 V batteries I installed and the orange light flashes slowly when I plug it in. However, the battery in the video has its own BMS circuit, I tried everything. I installed only Sony BMS and it did not work, I used two BMSs and it did not work, I used only the non-original BMS and it did not work. I would be glad if you could help, have a good day. (fuses are intact)

PSP 2000: Undetectable and strange power issues

The PSP is a 2001 model.

For a bit of a backstory, the psp isn’t mine but a family members. They told me that the system charged fine and that it was functioning fine until they lent it to thier brothers. They used the system while it was plugged into the wall outlet and charging, the issue here being that my particular country is notorious for it’s shotty electricity, and in general I feel like no handheld should be used while charing no matter how good the electricity is, but I digress.

The family member brought me the console to check it out because it randomly shut off the day after thier brothers had used it; the console does this thing I have never really seen and nothing online helps with these particular issues. For starters, the day he brought it to me the thing wouldn’t turn on at all, then suddenly last night at around 4 in the morning the thing turns on by itself as if it were completely fine, then it would shut off again. Today I checked it out and it stays on for the most part but it still shuts off seemingly at random, sometimes a few times in a row, shutting off with this loud audible “pop“ from what I can make out to be hopefully the speakers..

It also can’t charge from the normal port after the brothers played with it and the power/charging indicator doesn’t come on even though it’s on/charging meanwhile the the battery indicator says it IS charging.

I feel like it can be an issue with the power slider, the fuse, and the port itself but I can’t quite put my finger on it at all. Had anyone had an issue like this? and if so did you find the fix for it? Any tips or speculations about what this might be to help newrow it down would be greatly appreciated. I would love to get this fixed for my family member since this system did cost (what for us is) a lot of money, we can’t really afford to buy new things (or things in general lol) so we take what we can get. It was bought used.

PSP 2000: PSP barely reads games after replacing the UMD drive

I have a PSP 2000 that wouldn’t read UMDs, it would spin the disc but nothing would ever happen. So I bought a new UMD drive, installed it, it began to read discs again, but very slowly. It took a long time to load, longer than normal on a UMD. After a while I was able to start up a game and begin playing it, controls never lagged or anything, but since I assume it loaded up the level it stopped reading the disc. And when I beat the first level it wouldn’t read again and be stuck on an eternal “Now Loading” screen.

PSP 2000: PSP stopped turning on - blinks green once

So I have a PSP-2008 with some 6.35 CFW, which also has a recovery app. I started it, recovered, and started playing around. All of a sudden it just turned off, and does not turn on again - in fact, when I try to start it, it blinks the green light just once - so I haven't even got a chance to access the ‘R’ button recovery. I've checked it both with and without the battery - same thing. The voltages on the battery and the cord are all correct. What could the problem be?

PSP 2000: PSP won't run in battery even the battery is in good condition

Just some quick flashback.

i have a PSP-2006 with a TA-088v3 motherboard and i brick it accidentally last 6 years ago.

ok now to the present day.

i decided to fix it since the only problem is a the motherboard so i bought a “semi-broken” PSP in which the only problem is the buttons are not working but other than the other parts are working fine and i kinda got lucky since its a TA-085v2 so if i bricked it i can just use a pandora.

Here lies the kicker. I kinda fixed now my PSP. Just swap some parts like the motherboard and stuff. UMD games work fine same as the games in the Memory Stick but the battery can’t be recognized by the system. So i thought maybe the battery is just busted or some sort. Kinda fiddle with it and got it fully functional (reviving a dead battery trick). Even tested with the voltmeter but the PSP still won’t recognize the battery but there are times that the battery is recognized and able to play for about 1 and a half hours just to drain the battery. So just to test a theory that maybe the batteries are really the problem, i bought a new knock off battery which run pretty smooth at first after i drained it and charged my PSP but after that it won’t recognize the battery and now it crashes the PSP and won’t start but if i put my original batteries it turns on but won’t recognize the battery.

So to summarize things up

My PSP SOMETIMES recognize the battery, sometimes not.

If the PSP is acting up…

-PSP turns on but won’t recognize the original batteries

-PSP crashes and won’t turn on if i inserted the knockoff battery

(i already thought that it maybe a faulty motherboard but can you give me an insight)

PSP 2000: Why my psp doesn't turn on with ok battery, only charger?

This is my problem, my psp 2000 only turns on with the charger, it doesnt charge my battery, i tought it was a faulty battery, but i had another psp, and i tested both batterys and chargers, and they works just fine in the other psp, charges normal, batterys 100%, but my main psp refuses to recognize the main battery and the spare one, but both works fine in the other psp.

so what can be the problem, charger is not because it works, at least supplying energy.

Battery is also ok, it works in my other psp, and charges normal.

I looked back in the 3 pins conectors of the psp battery socket, and they look fine, not bended or corroded.

I left my main psp stored in my shelf, but left if at least a year without charging, but i could charge the battery just fine.

can this be a fuse? but if the fuse were damaged, it wouldn’t turn on with only the charger rigth?

i was thinking to buy some kind of cradle for the psp, to play with it connected to energy all time at this point, but i will read suggestions.
