A few days ago, I tried to play some videos on my Acer Aspire One ZG5 laptop. However, the sound simply is not present. I tried everything. I checked to see that it was unmuted. I turned the volume all the way up. I even restarted my computer. However, nothing has worked, and there is still no audio on my laptop. So what should I do?
Asus Transformer Book T100TAF: Why won't my device turn on?

So I've had this device for a while now and it just suddenly wouldn't turn on. I know it is fully charged because of the white light on the power button. I know my charger works because it works on my phone. I've tried doing the "volume down and power button for 15 seconds" thing and the "Windows button and power button for 15 seconds" thing but it didn't fix it. When I press down on the power button, the light on the power button flashes but the light next to the camera won't flash nor will the screen light up. I'm not sure what else to do and I re ally need to get on this device. Any ideas?

My device is an ASUS Transformer Book T100TAF

Acer Aspire One D257: Laptop won't turn on after RAM upgrade

Hello!

I have Acer Aspire One D257 with Windows 7 installed. Everything worked absolutely fine. I wanted to upgrade the RAM so I changed the 1GB DDR3 Stick to 4GB DDR3 Stick. Now, after I click the power switch I can hear the fan spinning but there is no display on internal or external monitor and I hear no sound. Only sound is a strong beep that happens when I unplug or plug in the power cord.

What have I done wrong? What should I do? Did I do something to the motherboard? When si was changing RAM I had to complettly disassemble the laptop, including motherboard.

Thank you very much for help.

Asus EeeBook X205TA: How do I reset my BIOS password on newer ASUS laptops?

I was playing around with the BIOS settings and somehow I fat fingered the password not once, but twice.. and now I'm locked out of the computer entirely. I was trying to figure out what the difference was between the "User" password, and the "Administrator" password - and the difference is that "User" won't allow the system to boot at all without that password.

I've tried pulling the main power from the tiny little motherboard, and this appears to make no difference with these newer laptops which don't have specific bios batteries to remove. Any suggestions?

Acer Aspire One A0751h: Computer crashes (freezes) randomly.

The A0751h has a sort-of known crashing problem. It seems to randomly freeze. Becoming 100% unresponsive, video is stuck on whatever image was before the freeze, the sound sounds like a broken record. There is no BSOD and it has been known to happen in the same way in linux.

Updating the firmware to the latest version provided by acer helps a bit since the freezing is down to once every couple of days vs once every couple of hrs (or more frequent).

So the question is: Does anyone know if this is a hardware issue, and what sort of fixes (including changing parts) will fix it.

Still gathering info. The most useful lead is the replacing of the ram seems to help. Still need to confirm AND get some model numbers for known ram that fixes the issue.
