Outerwear: How to repair a tear on the down jacket?

While hiking in Costa Rica past week, wearing my Patagonia down jacket, I got about two inch tear on the jacket near the shoulder by a thorn. The jacket is only a month old. Is there any fix I can do that will preserve the aesthetics?

The material that lines my Patagonia Rain jacket is delaminating from the shell. The rubber is flaking off the shell. Can the rubber that provides the water proofing be removed and then the rubber material be replace or is the rain jacket not repairable?

The zipper pull and the box at that is at the end of the zipper is gone. If we send in the coat, do you repair the zipper or does it need to be taken to a local shop for replacement?

If you can repair it, what is the cost?

Patagonia Outerwear: Old rain jacket delamination

Hi,

I have an older (6 years?) rain jacket that is starting to delaminate. The seams are still sealed, but the white, water repellent coating on the inside of the jacket is starting to peel off the outer. Do you have any suggestions to combat this?

My fleece has been washed a few times but still sheds little (pink) bits on everything. I wore it under a different coat and found pink fleece bits all over the other coat. At first I thought it would just stop after washing but sadly it didn't. If anyone has any insight I would be so grateful! Thanks! -kate

I have a Synchilla fleece jacket from the mid to late 80s. It was my first Patagonia anything. The stretch in the cuffs is long gone, so I only ever wear it when I am feeling real sentimental. Can these be replaced?

Outerwear: My white coat is now grey! Help!

I have a Patagonia down coat that started out white and another one that's orange. They are worn daily around town and travel to the woods, beach and mountains with me. Both have seen so much action that the sleeves (and cuffs!) are a filthy dark grey. I've washed them with down wash at least 4 times and even used diluted stain remover directly on the worst areas. It hasn't made a difference. The coats are not only down but also DWR so I've tried to be gentle.

Is there anything else I can do to clean them? There's nothing functionally wrong with the coats so I want to be able to keep using them. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

My 10 year old son was playing outdoors in his fleece jacket today. The jacket has a front zipper and two pockets for one's hands. The jacket ripped / was torn by a large stick perhaps near the front hand pocket area. How does one fix this? Glue a patch? Iron-on a patch? Sew it? Send it back to Patagonia?

Hello! My 2010 Patagonia Winter Sun Jacket has stood the test of time and endured the toughest tests. Just recently, the two chest pockets have begun to separate from the jacket at the seams. The seams are lap-glued and I do not want to put needle and thread though the waterproof material. How can I best repair these busted lap-glued seams? Thank you!

Hello,

I have a Mango white jacket I just love. I have used a few times so I wanted to clean it. I took it to a professional to perform a dry cleaning on the jacket. I went to get my jacket today and it is now beige when before was white (the diference is massive). Looks like it was used for ten years! In the dry cleaning store I was told that this sometimes happens with white jackets, because the fabric reacts to the products they use to clean it. My question is: should I believe the man or did he just ruin my jacket and is trying to mislead me? I feel that he doesn't want to take responsability for what he did.

What should I do to get my jacket white again?
