Ryobi PSBCS02CN: Why do the lights on the tool keep flashing 4 times?

The tool hasn't been used in a few months since it did that while using it, but since then, when we try to use it, it just flashes. it's possible the motor could have over heated but I'm not too sure.

Ryobi PSBCS02CN: Using with toothed blades

I recently purchased this Ryobi cutoff tool. While reading the user manual, I notice that using a toothed cutting blade is not recommended. I like the little thing, but that is one of the reasons that I bought it, to cut small wooden things. The 3" saw blades are readily available. Does anyone know why they are discouraged?

Other Power Tool: What to use to replace melted armature tooth riser?

Not sure if this is going to make any sense. I'm currently in the process of rewinding a motor for an agate trim saw that decided to burn out. There looks to have been some sort of riser/spacer (not sure what to call it) on top and bottom ends of the armature, to keep the winding directly off of the armature teeth, which melted when the windings burned up.
What can I use as a replacement? I was thinking of something along the lines of a small nylon or ptfe tube? Or is there something more specific I should use?
