iLive IKBC384S: Under cabinet device has no sound.

I installed the IKBC3842 several weeks ago and it was working perfectly until today. It is not playing any sound, from any source. The device is on, it is not muted, and I have tried several volumes, disc's, and radio stations. Am I missing something or is the device defective?

When I put a music cd in and turn the player on the sound cracks every few seconds. Is there a way to fix this?

When you hit the power button the little display screen won’t display anything but a blue screen. How do you fix this.
