Oneplus 3: Not turning on after repair, but it does charge

So i replaced my charging port using this guide:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EsKchL4...

OnePlus 3 USB Type-C Port Replacement

Everything went ok, but i can’t get the phone to turn on. When i put it on my charger, it does connect (smoothly) and i see it charging (20% right now). But I can’t turn on the phone.

Does anybody have any clue what I did wrong or what part of the recovery i should do again? Because this means the battery is working correctly, right?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT:

Nvm, put on the casing and it turned on. Weird, according to the video i could check without it. Oh well.

Oneplus 3: Screen does not work after replacement

Hi, seems like something went wrong… I followed all the instructions, but at the end of the reassembly, the phone does not turn on. I plugged in the charger and pressed the power button, but there is only a slight vibration, the back/home buttons light up, and then nothing. The device repeats this every few seconds. I tried power + vol down for a few seconds too, LED goes red and then same result (repeat vibration + back/home lights blink). What’s the problem here? What might I have missed? Is the new display or new battery faulty?

Oneplus 3: Why does my OP 3 shuts down after locking?

Hi there,

I recently changed the screen of my OP 3 because it fell on the floor and did not show anything afterwards (I don't know if this only damaged the screen or also other parts of the phone).

Now, the screen works very well and and the phone does turn on as well (I even type this with my OP3). But I now have two problems:

1) My phone shuts down almost immediately after I lock it (after one or two seconds I can still unlock it but after 5 seconds or so it is dead). It does not shut down while the screen is on, though.

2) It heats quite a lot during using and especially during charging. I know, this seems to be a general issue with older OP phones and happened to me as well, but never to that extent (after charging 30 min it gets overheated which never happened before).

Plus, there are two issues that might or might not be related to these to problems so I add them as well: My volume control buttons did not work before the screen replacement, which is quite odd, because the power button works well. And I think I have destroyed the home button/fingerprint scan while changing the screen.

What do you think, is there any hope of solving these problems without having to buy a new phone?

Best, thank you all!

Clemens

Oneplus 3: OnePlus 3 not responding

I recently replaced my OP3 battery after facing battery draining issues. Since then the phone has not turned on. The power button+volume down is also not working. But when I try switching it on with the charger plugged in, the OnePlus logo splash screen appears for a while and it switches off again. I can’t figure out what the problem really is.
Oneplus 3: My microphone and earpiece aren't working

The microphone and earpiece on my OnePlus 3T aren’t working. People don’t hear me when in call and all I can hear is just noise from the earpiece. The headphone jack doesn’t work either. The only way I am able to make calls is via Bluetooth.

I suspect it is caused by the audio chip because i have replaced the earpiece and the daughterboard and ribbon cables but that didn’t solve the problem.

I have a broken OnePlus 3 does anyone know if i can replace the audio chip? Where is it located? Is is the same for 3 and 3t and can they be interchanged? Thank you!

Oneplus 3: OnePlus 3t will not charge, says battery temperature is too low.

So last night I plugged in my OnePlus 3t at 28%, I came back about an hour later and noticed it was still at 28% and not dash charging. I turned it off and it showed a screen that said “Battery Temperature is too low” I turned it back on and it said it had 50% and not charging. I downloaded an app to tell me what the temperature was of the battery and it said -40 degrees.

I know it can’t be that cold, as it doesn’t get that cold where I live.

Is this a battery issue? or is this board level?

I have a OP3 for 2 years. It is running stock OxygenOS 5.0.6 with f2fs partitions. For the last year, the screen gets pixelated and the phone hangs and switches off. It can be restarted almost immediately. This usually happens randomly and is accompanied by a loud beep sound when it happens while watching YouTube.

I have noticed that the top right edge of the screen is popping slightly (barely noticeable like 2mm from its normal position) out from the frame.

I have tried resetting the phone several times to no avail.

This crash is happening several times a day now instead of once a week like earlier.

Is there something wrong with the display or logic board or some loose connector? Or software issue? I wish to repair the phone myself.
