OnePlus One: Small hole in the outer layer of Oneplus One battery

I bought a new battery for my Oneplus One, and while replacing it I had to peel off the red outer layer of the to reposition the ribbon cable which was misaligned. I got the cable aligned and stuck the sticker back as best I could, but now there’s a slight tear in the red sticker around the top right corner of the battery, maybe 1-1.5 mm in diameter. No smell came from it either.

Could this be an issue? Is the outer red layer of the battery important?

OnePlus One: How can I recover my data/media files from a soft bricked phone?

Hello guys! I recently installed the latest software of cm13 marshmallow 6.0.1 and after installing, it keeps booting and never gets into the main screen. It shows "optimising 133 apps" and later goes to "cyanogen mod ready" , again gets back to "optimising 133 apps" and the cycle repeats. My phone isn't rooted and is a stock phone. I can go to "recovery mode" and "fastboot mode". I just wanna retrieve the media files(photos, videos etc). Please help me out! Is there any way to retrieve my data through recovery mode or fastboot mode? Is there a way to access my phone through a PC?

OnePlus One: Cannot make/receive calls, but data and SMS work. Help.

I have a Oneplus One on the Tmobile US network. I have no problems with data and SMS but sending and receiving calls is problem. My mother has a Oneplus One also on Tmobile that can send and receive calls from anywhere. However mine can only send and receive calls in one spot in out backyard. I have done the following without success.

1) Turn off/on phone, switch from 4g to 3g to 2g, toggle airplane mode

2) Switch sim cards between phones. Her phone still works great with my sim, and my phone is still terrible with her sim.

3) Verifying that IMEI is present (via *#*#info#*#*)

4) Verifying APN.

5) Factory reset to match the OS and firmware as her phone.

6) Trying different firmware and OS/custom ROM.

I am not sure what else to try.

I am beginning to suspect that the antenna is failing. I suspect I am likely going to have to buy a new phone, but I wanted to see if there was an easy solution. I really liked this phone, and want to find a away to save it.

OnePlus One: Screen glass loose on bottom

Hi

I have a opo on which I replaced the display. The quality of the part isn't the greatest, and the bottom of the glass is a little loose.

This is my 2nd part already and I don't really want to wait 3 weeks and replace it again (might very well get another bad unit, it's a dirt cheap straight-from-China display).

Does anyone have any advice on how to fix it myself? Can I inject some glue under there? (And which type of glue is best?)

OnePlus One: screen issues after replace

Hi,

I repair phones. Oneplus most of all.

I changed a LOT of oneplus One screens. But almost always I have this problem.

With the new screen, sometimes it won't turn ON the screen after sleep or press power button. I hear that the phone is ON, but the screen is black.

I have to change random screen settings (double tap to turn on, or off, etc) until it works ok again. When it stays black, I have to reset the phone to get the screen on again.

Anyone else with this problem?

OnePlus One: Screen replacement ghost touches.

My oneplus one's screen got cracked a couple months ago and i got a replacement screen/digitizer along with the midframe and i followed some procedure on youtube and successfully disassembled my one and hooked up the new replacement and it was working just fine untill a couple days ago when i started getting some ghost touches and it then elevated that an actual portion of the screen has no response at all..

after quite some time researching my final conclusion was that it was a gluing issue/grounding issue from the digitizer, but that only made sense for me regarding ghost touches, but can it also be the cause of non-responsive specific regions on the screen?

Upon this the most lower part of the screen were not working at all.

I could type the pin code for SIM card, but it was not possible to hit the enter button and get further.

Power and vol up / down were ok, as an example, I could restart the phone without problems.

I bought a new screen and replaced it. It looks like the screen i working ok.

Now I´ve got a new problem: Phone is stuck in the "Cyanogen Recovery menu", it denies to boot normally.

All connectors are mounted ok.

I can "reboot system now" or go into "factory reset" (I dont want to). After reboot, it goes back to "Cyanogen Recovery menu".

When the phone is turned off and charged, it does not show the charging symbols on the screen.

Hi all, my 21 month old OnePlus one has become increasingly difficult to switch on using the power button. It now seems to require quite a bit of pressure, and still only then works intermittently. It certainly appears to be a hardware issue.
OnePlus One: Looking for the values of 2 SMDs around the digitizer connector.

Hi,

I managed to damage two SMDs around the digitizer connector on the motherboard. I don't know what is their purpose, I suppose it is connected with the stable working of the digitizer. The SMDs are the ones bellow the digitizer connector and next to the headphones jack. They look like a 0603s, but I don't know what they are - capacitors or diodes (I don't think they are resistors, but I might be wrong). Can someone identify them for me. Are they 0603 and how many farads, voltage and what is the polarity.

Thank you very much in advance I hope there is a good guy (or a gal) out there that is willing to help.
