OnePlus 8T: Phone will not turn on. Battery at 8.7 V (so, full). No USB device.

Phone refused to charge some days ago, but issue resolved itself by trying a different charger then trying the same one again (factory charger, but third party 5A cable, that had worked well for the past year, with full Warp, don't have the factory cable)

Yesterday evening put the phone to charge, and verified it entered Warp charging.

Today, woke up without alarm, because phone had turned off. Thought it was a charging issue again, but no dice on another OP charger, nor from a PC 2 A USB port.

Holding power+volume key (either up or down) doesn't do anything.

Connecting to computer brings up no detected USB device.

Removed the back cover and removed the battery, thinking I'd manually charge the battery off of a power supply, to get the phone to turn on long enough to back up my shiz.

But battery is full to the brim at 8.7 V (4.35V per cell).

Ideas on where to go from here?

OnePlus 8T: Phone will not turn on.

So my friend gave me his One Plus 8T which one day all of the sudden completely turned off during a call and has not been able to be turned on again. He discarded the phone as a lost cause when a phone repair shop told him that the phone wont turn on due to a fault motherboard which cost 400+ euro to replace, so I decided to maybe work out the issue as a fun little project.

I tried the various ways to reset the phone like holding the volume and power buttons for 20 seconds and tried to let the phone charge for multiple hours (with no indication on the screen). All of this without any result.

I would like to explore some ways to determine whether or not there is a hardware issue, but I am inexperienced when it comes to this kind of troubleshooting.

Any suggestions of things I can try or check out are appreciated and if more details are necessary, just ask!
