OnePlus 6T: Bottom half of my screen keeps flickering/Darkening

Similar to an answered post from a few years ago the lower ~1/3 of my phone screen is dim/flickers on occasion, often darkening over time which increases the severity of the flickering and other times disappearing entirely. I can tell nothing is wrong with the phone as the flickering goes away during the shutdown screen and usually stays away for a bit after a restart.

I have tried digging around for a way to turn off DC Dimming as mentioned in the other post about this issue (www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/610354/Botto...) but haven't found a way to either get into or enable OnePlus Labs or enable/disable DC Dimming itself on the 6T (android 11).

I have had the phone since ~2019 and this problem only started recently, like within the past month.

If anyone has any helpful suggestions or knows anything about toggling DC Dimming on 6T's that would be incredible.

Thanks!

So i cycled back during the rain. The phone didn't get super wet and continued to function but since then does not charge properly. I can charge via USB cable through my PC as it refuses to dash charge via charging brick and the PC will keep giving me warning USB device not recognized.

I have a pair of cables that i have tried it with - so its not the brick or the cables but something to do with the phone me thinks!

OnePlus 6T: OnePlus6T: Cracked screen replaced but issues!

I replaced my cracked screen (just the screen without frame). It works fine most of the time but ghost touches and dead spots came up after a few days. But restarting the device 3-4 times fixes the issue. Then this issue persists and Restarting the phone has become a ritual now.

Can I try replacing the screen (with frame screen replacement) again or it could be something else at fault here?

It will cost a lot to check if a new display will fix it but what if it doesn’t. there is some other underlying issue here? Please advice

OnePlus 6T: Which component is responsible for the network connection on the mobil

When I am connected to the Wi-Fi network at home, my OnePlus 6t occasionally disconnects from the Wi-Fi network and the mobile network out of the blue for about 20 seconds and then logs back in automatically. If, on the other hand, I switch off Wi-Fi and connect to the internet via the mobile network, the connection has never been interrupted. I have already reset the phone and during the set-up process the same problem occurred again, so it must be the hardware. My question now is, which component do I need to replace? Where is the antenna for the connection to the WLAN/mobile network, is it a separate circuit board or is it on the motherboard? It would be nice if someone could take care of me, as the problem is really annoying, especially when the connection simply drops out during a phone call. Thank you in advance.

OnePlus 6T: Battery will not charge after charge runs out.

I have a Oneplus 6T on my desk that came in for a screen replacement. A few weeks later it was noted that it would not charge after the phone died, so while it may be related to the screen replacement we’re not 100% sure.

The phone works perfectly fine as long as you don’t let it run out of charge. If it powers off on its own because the battery ran out, you’ll see the “battery too low to turn on” screen that it flashes once and that’s it. It pulls 0.47 amps off the charger according to the meter, but even leaving it in overnight doesn’t result in any change. (If the battery is unplugged it only pulls 0.17 amps.)

The only way I’ve found to get the device to turn back on is to put in a battery with some charge. Either by externally charging the old battery or putting in a brand new one. I’ve tried new batteries and replacing just about every easily removeable component on the device with no change. I’ve tried with brand new USB cables, multiple AC adapters, hooking it up to a PC, pressing all the power/volume combinations to no avail.

If anyone has any ideas, I’d love to hear ‘em, thanks!

OnePlus 6T: Replacement Screen not displaying over its entirety

I bought a 6t replacement screen from ifixit, but the display looks like it’s not detecting a bottom row of pixels. You can see the screen displaying the corner curve offset from where it should have been in the white screen.

OnePlus 6T: I need a replacement battery for OnePlus 6T

I see iFixit has OnePlus 6 batteries but not 6t. Anyone know where else I might be able to get a new legitimate one from or when iFixit might get 6t parts in stock?

I know its only been a year but I have tons of charge cycles as I guess you can say I am a power user and have run my battery into the ground and have gone from 8+ hour OST down to barely 4 hour OST. I saw the video on here how easy it was to replace so I may just do it myself if I can find a battery then purchase the iFixit kit.
