Oculus Rift CV1: How to take the headstrap off

recently the Velcro on the right side of my headstrap broke, i have a spare because i knew this would happen, however i cant find any tutorial on how to take the headstrap off without damaging either of them, and i only have one spare, ive seen that it is indeed removable but can someone give me clear detailed instructions (with pictures if possible) on how to take it off

Oculus Rift CV1: Any suggestions on cable repair.

Bought a headset from a friend. cable leading to the HDMI and USB split was badly twisted some how and I believe there is a broken wire. Any suggestions? PC identifies headset, and I am able to get sound and tracking. But no visuals within the headset itself.

Oculus Rift CV1: software repair, and/or change?

I have an old one of these that probably works in a hardware sense, but i'm not sure our account still works, or that the software itself does. and even if it does i don't have high hopes for meta's reliability (let alone privacy). Does anyone know if there are options available for changing out the software, or similar diy methods? (basically changing/repairing a computer operating system but for vr i guess)

Oculus Rift CV1: Ribbon cable (headphones/rear tracking sensors) broken

Hey guys...

Some days ago, I bought one CV1 it from a friend. But unfortunately in the transport the ribbon cable in headband it broke. I tried repair this ribbon cable but I don't had success. I tried talk with the Oculus Support...I asked if they send me another headband for make my rift 100% again but apparently, they do not want help me. I know how disassembly/assembly my rift, this is no worry for me...but they said basically "Sorry to hear that Rift was damaged"...short answer: buy another one.

Anyone can help me about this problem? How can repair? Where find something that can use for fix?

I tried amend the ribbon cable using wires but when I test continuity with multimeter any pin doesn't work.

1- Before try fix, I tested continuity between this pins and the headphone pins, it's working.

2- I received the oculus in this situation. I needed cut the ribbon cable after this hole because was torn.

3- Conversation with the Oculus Support Team

3 - Soldered pins with wires in the both sides, at the moment, all that's fine. I tested again the continuity between the blue wire sides, it's working too...but if a test between the blue wire side and headphone contact...not working :( (maybe why I use this wire? need another wire type?)

Oculus Rift S: The display cord for the rifts

My display cord is disconnecting and reconnecting it happens every 1-5 minutes and goes dark for about 30 seconds every time I’m pretty sure it is my display cable every time it disconnects it says it is disconnected on the oculus app.

Oculus Rift CV1: Left lens has no display. Rattling inside headset.

Just finished playing a game, and was about to unplug the headset to store it. Went back in to exit out of the game and noticed the left lens was just black. Could hear something rattling inside when moving it. Headset is about 5 years old.

I have a Meta Oculus Quest headset that I got without controllers. I purchased a set of these (model TO-L & TO-R) on eBay because the description said they would be compatible, however they will not pair with the headset in the app. The LED light flashes on both but does not connect, leading me to believe I have been misled. Are these controllers incompatible with Oculus Quest? If so, what is the model name(s) of the controllers that are compatible with my headset?

My Rift S is going on 5/6 Years, and now with "Meta" basically killing all support for the product, are there any recommended ways to fix the Joysticks? Or would Replacing them end up being easier? So whenever I was fixing a stuck button on my left controller i managed to tear one of the it sensors off on one side of the ring, just one. Now only the other half of the ring works. I tested this with my phone camera. I would like to know if anyone who comes by this post knows of any place that I could get a replacement infrared led set. Or replacement parts in general for the rift s controllers. I would buy a whole new controller but I don’t have very much trust for oem resellers. Unless anyone knows of a reputable reseller.

Oculus Rift S: PC not detecting when headset is connected

My headset was accidentally dropped and when I connect it to the PC it says "Headset not dected, please connect your VR headset".

I took the device to a local repair shop and they have identified its a Hardware issue, however they cannot help me fix it. Does anyone know if its still possble to repair the Rift S (now its been discontinued), and if so where in the UAE I can take it?

I had the problem of the orange light without image and with audio, and I came to the conclusion that the USB ports of my Mother Asus h81m-k were not compatible with the glasses. For the last time I tried them on a friend's PC and they worked perfectly! Since then, I bought an Oculus Compatible Ínateck 4 USB Pci-express Board and waited 2 months for it to arrive at my house. When it arrived, I instantly went to connect everything and try the glasses again after a long time. And the first thing I noticed was that the orange light did not turn on as it normally did, I proceeded to disconnect the Headset Cable and reconnect it and nothing... it does not work in any of the usb ports... what could it be? The cable that is damaged?

my headset keeps loosing the tracking no matter how much light or dim or no light there is. It should work and it did in the past but not anymore, it holds the trackign for a short time then says "lost tracking" and it can't get the tracking back. Is there a way to fix this? so it can keep holding the tracking and not loose it a few min after
