Nvidia Shield Pro Android TV: Ethernet cable does not make a solid connection...

I have two Shields, one immediately connected to my network when I plugged in an ethernet cable. The other does not and is still connecting via Wi-Fi. I've checked the cable and it works. The pins inside the port are also in good condition. Even though the cable snaps in, I don't believe it is deep enough to connect with the port. When I push the cable in harder, it will establish a connection. So, questions is, how do I rig something up to force the cable deeper inside the port? I've tried zip ties to no avail(although maybe thinner ties would work better???).

Nvidia Shield Pro Android TV: WiFi chip replacement on Shield TV

I have a 1st gen Shield TV but the WiFI is toast (and along with it connectivity to the remote and the controller (unless I use a usb cable to connect the controller)

I had a case with Nvidia but it got no where and the issue got worse.

I had used it wired for most of the time I had used it when the issue first started.

So I was wondering how hard would it be to replace the wifi chip? And would a good repair shop be able to to it? (Maybe one of those places that fixes phones.)
