I'm having trouble getting battery out of its enclosure. From what I understend there is adhesive underneath but I'm a bit afraid to force it as I'm afraid enclosure would break.

I cracked my shield's screen, and now only a portion of the screen works. I need to find a replacement, and figure out how to change it. Or if someone could do it for me.

i like to watch it in bed and i feel asleep watching it, it has a super long battery life for just watching youtube but the next day i went to plug it in, it worked but as soon as i took it off the charger the controller section no longer worked exept the home button and back button and nvidia button.

any advice on how to fix it?

i recently dug it out from my closet and had fun using it on road trips, no problem expet when i got home a few days later XD

Nvidia Shield: Shield gen 1 wont boot after hdd clone.

The title is inaccurate I have the gen 1 shield console. I replaced the HDD with a Samsung ssd and I used a method working for other people where you clone the hdd to the ssd and when I turn on the shield it just shows a green light and never does anything.

For a while now my Nvidia shield's screen has been randomly going all fuzzy and covered in static and i have been very careful with my Nvidia shield so I was very worried as you can imagine so I talked to someone at Nvidia and they told me its an issue with the flexo cable. anyone know how to replace a flexo cable?

I have had this issue ever since I got this controller (not the Nvidia one but a different generic one, thought I should mention that) and every time I hit the “X” button on the controller it brings up the Steam Menu making it impossible to actually play anything. I finally broke down and am reaching out for help because I finally bought Skyrim and for some reason I can only play with a controller even though its for PC. That in itself is a whole different issue which is even worse because Ive just been using my mouse and keyboard for games that I want to use the controller and its been okay but now i cant do anything in Skyrim because nearly every action is the “X” button. Anything you guys can do to help i would really appreciate it very much. Ive been looking all over the net for a solution and ca not seem to find anything so please, anyone if you could help thank you in advance.

So a while ago my 2015 1st gen Nvidia shield front touch buttons stopped working, and I thought it was a bad 12-pin cable. It turns out it's the touch buttons (nvidia button, home button, back button, and play button) that stopped working. I have searched far and wide for a replacement but haven't found anything. Can anyone direct me to where I can find one?

Nvidia Shield: Why is the Shield making a constant clicking noise?

There is a light but very annoying constant clicking that sounds like it's coming from behind the right speaker. Sometimes it can be stopped temporarily with percussive maintenance or by adjusting the angle of the screen but it always comes back. Does anybody know what is causing this and how it can be stopped?
