Nook Tablet: NOOK BNTV 250 not upgrading from 1.4.3 following Nook instructions

I have Nook BNTV250! I realize it is dated but the battery is great and stays charged. The software level on this device is 1.4.3. In its present state, it will not connect to the internet, although I can get the wireless connected to my router. I looked up on Barnes and Noble what to do and I followed all the directions yet. the upload did nothing to update the Nook. Anyone else have this problem and come up with a solution?

My nook tablet volume button has detached inside upon taking it apart and looking at it has broken an is no longer connected inside, can it be repaired fix by doing some diy on the old volume button, or by getting a replacement volume button to fix it, whichever option has to be cheapest method i have little income available at the moment, and if possible can u explain it with easiest instructions because I don't have alot of Knowledge on this an if needed recommendations for purchase of replacement part

I've had my nook tab 4 for 6 years now and it has worked fine. Every once in a while it wouldn't load videos of any kind, so I would do a hard restart. But yesterday when I did it it would not go past the nook title on the start up. I've cleared the cache, hard restarted it, let the battery die, but nothing works. I would really appreciate it if someone could help guide me to fixing it.

I read that resetting the device might help, but when I tried that all I get is a solid green light still when my device is plugged in. I attempt to enter a search item and the NOOK doesn’t let me enter my information.

I recently found that my step son had used it and downloaded a ton of ‘'stuff' on MY Nook !? I have to believe that its corrupted…what can I do to get rid of that which I don't want and save my downloaded medical into..my paid magazines and books?

I dropped my Nook Tablet, and have no warranty on it. The cost of having someone else fix the screen would cost as much as buying a new one. Im not very tech savy and I was wondering how I would go about replacing the screen on my own; what I would need and the steps to do so. Im afraid to try on my own because I dont want to break it and I cannot find a helpful step by step guide.

I believe my nook tablet is bricked but I've already tried several ways to unbrick the device. I've tried to download software onto a micro SD card and then put the SD card in the tablet multiple times with different suggestions that were suppose to fix it but it did not fix the device. But before I did this I tried to factory reset by holding the power button and n button down. I've even tried just to press the power button to turn it on (even though that was quite obvious) and it didn't work. I've had one problem in the past where it wouldn't go to the home screen it just loop in the first few screens when you boot it up. But the factory reset fixed it. My nook is also about 2-3 years old. So do you know how to fix it or where I could take it to get fixed, if so it would be greatly appreciated because I'm quite ready to just get a new tablet and throw this one away.
