Nook HD Plus: My screen is blank but the Nook is active?

I just got this Nook HD+ used a while ago. Today the screen went out, but I can still turn the tablet on. Actually, the weird part is the initial loading screen that just says "Nook" in black and white will show up every time, but then it goes blank. I accidentally turned on audio Accessibility, and I can touch things and get a response from the tablet, but the screen stays completely black.

I'm pretty sure the Nook is still on the factory OS. Any ideas?

Nook HD Plus: Tablet dead, can I use it as a display?

My Nook HD+ has been dead for some time. I think it should be something with the mother board. The display is still nice, no dead pixels.

I've been thinking if I can convert it to an HDMI display? where can I find those connectors for the display and how should I wire it to HDMI cable? And Can I make use of the original speaker on it, too?

Nook HD Plus: Can you replace the Nook HD+ connector with standard USB?

My own Nook HD+ is working fine, but I have a friend whose connector has slowly gotten worse and worse; he's run through at least 4 charging cables, and now the Nook will not charge without pressure on the Nook in the cable area. Has anyone researched the pinout for the proprietary Nook connector, so a standard USB cable could be connected inside the Nook for charging and data communication with a computer?

Nook HD Plus: Only the top 1/3 of the touch screen will work.

I have replaced the battery of my nook HD+ and finally got it to turn on but now the top 1/3 of the screen will only work and the rest is unresponsive, I don't know if I had damaged it because it has been on my shelf for over 3 months with out any one touching it. I haven't been able to take off the touch screen because the screws are to tight and I don't have the right screws for it. I have a crack at the bottom of the screen that I was unaware of before I popped the frame off. I have cleaned the screen many times with a norwex cloth. I charged the Nook HD+ all the way to 100% and it still doesn't respond. If you have any idea what I could do besides replacing the touch screen it self I would appreciate it. Thanks, Hamish

Nook HD Plus: any way I can force the tablet on?

the nook HD plus seems to have a horrible problem with randomly thinking it is overheating and wont turn on after that. ever. it wont take charge because it will reject things at the charger port when it thinks it is overheating. after years of use this finally hit me so that brings the question... is it possible to actually fix this issue or is the tablet trashed? (it has many problems right now and may be trashed anyway but this is problem #1 for fixing it... i have a way to go)

Nook HD Plus: Nook HD+ Network Problem after Factory Reset

Factory Reset a Nook HD+ (BNTV600) and it keeps experiencing a “Network Problem” after connecting to WiFi. The WiFi setup features an 802.11g router and 802.11n access point connected to the 802.11g router. I have replicated this problem even when the Nook HD+ was only a few feet from the router and access point. Will try to connect to “B&N Store” WiFi at a Barnes & Noble store later.

Not sure if the OS version is updated to 2.2.1 - plugging in the Nook HD+ to a Windows 10 laptop generates no reaction from the laptop or the Nook HD+. The Nook HD+ has been dormant for a long time - date was set to 1999 (due to depleted battery?) after charging and before Factory Reset.

Not sure if the “Skip OoBE” button is accessible - tapping the Factory Reset screen while holding the Volume Up button generates no reaction.

What’s the best way to complete the Setup process at this point?
