Really weird, I've tried resetting it to factory default by holding down the nook button. Display works, fully charged (doesn't seem to be a battery issue). Every time I try to power it on, it loads to 99% then powers down. Please help! Any advice greatly appreciated.

I have searched for a replacement battery for the Nook HD to no avail. All that can be found are not for the HD. None have the 4000MHA, 14.8 Wh rating.

Does any one know of a source, other than B&N (who won't sell the battery) ?

Someone tried to plug a wrong cable to the charging port of the Nook HD and bent a bunch of pins. Is it possible to have the charging port replaced?

Half of my nook hd screen is frozen, not the entire screen, just half. I can use about half the keyboard, but only being able to type on half is difficult. What can I do to fix this issue?

Nook HD: Touch screen not responise in some areas

Hello,

My Nook Hd Color 7 inch developed a strange fault. Screen became "dead" in few areas- mainly sides., especially right side.

I have tested it using an app and you can see results here. First photo shows horizontal slides, and second one shows vertical. You can see the gaps,

I have cleaned the screen on the edges and done faxtory reset- didnt help. What can be the problem? Is it worth opening it up ? If yes, what should I look for? Thanks

The backlight is very dim, can barely see the screen. Can this be fixed?

I dropped my nook hd and now the screen is only dim. Even when the video button is moved all the way to the right, there is no response. I have done a hard reset and no change. The battery is still holding charge.
