Im not sure if the battery is shot or the charging port is bad..I have it plugged in for over 24hrs..and it didnt charge! Is the battery shot or is it the charging port?

Nook HD: Half my screen is frozen

Half of my nook hd screen is frozen, not the entire screen, just half. I can use about half the keyboard, but only being able to type on half is difficult. What can I do to fix this issue?

Hello,

My Nook Hd Color 7 inch developed a strange fault. Screen became "dead" in few areas- mainly sides., especially right side.

I have tested it using an app and you can see results here. First photo shows horizontal slides, and second one shows vertical. You can see the gaps,

I have cleaned the screen on the edges and done faxtory reset- didnt help. What can be the problem? Is it worth opening it up ? If yes, what should I look for? Thanks

I dropped my nook hd and now the screen is only dim. Even when the video button is moved all the way to the right, there is no response. I have done a hard reset and no change. The battery is still holding charge.

The screen on my Nook HD 7 is cracked. Not under warranty anymore.

So, I was able to purchase a replacement screen online under the thoughts that I would be able to do this myself.

So, I removed the casing, detached the battery, and detached the connections from the old screen to the motherboard.

Now, I still do not see any way to remove the screen from the frame.

I do not seen any screws, etc, that would still be holding it on.

Does anyone have any advice, or are these screens just not able to be detached from the frame?

Nook HD: muted device by accident when unlocking screen.

My daughter was swiping to unlock nook and she said it was a different looking screen than normal. When swiped she said she went toward a mute toggle and then the sound disappeared and the nook unlocked. Now the volume is muted. You can still movethe volume toggle up and down but it doesn't do anything.
