I am a professional cellphone repairman and this issue has me perplexed. I bought an entire frame/lcd/digitizer replacement combo and very carefully transplanted all the componets. When I powered on the device the touch was not working. I figured the part was defective so I reinstalled the old LCD/digi/frame and now the touchscreen does not work on that either! There is only one cable that plugs in to the main board for both the LCD and Digitizer and I have absolutely made sure it is completely plugged in. HELP!

This would be really helpful. There are plenty of tear downs for the 1020 and 1520, however those have access to screws and I can't find any on my device. The Icon is currently the top tier Windows Phone and is identical the the 930, so having a repair manual would be very beneficial.

Hi,

I have a Nokia Lumia 930 (same as the Icon), and 2 of my 4mics are dead. Can't use speakerphone, and can't record voice, recorded videos have mono sound, on skype video calls people can't hear me (same as speakerphone). The diagnostics showed the 3rd and 4th mic are faulty. They were working fine when I bought it. One day they just stopped working. Still has warranty, though, but Nokia Care told me it could take several days to replace. Can you help me to replace it myself?

My Icon's battery doesn't hold a charge as long as it used to, and I'm wondering if it can be replaced. I don't want to replace the phone yet!

Nokia Lumia Icon: Digitizer registers false touches

Well, I apparently jumped the gun when I said the screen works well after replacing: LCD dead after hit, no visible damage

In fact, the screen works indeed, it's the digitizer which went haywire. It started ok but after a few days it reads more and more ghost touches or quite opposite, do not react at all. Each time I have to switch the screen off/on, which fixes the things for a few minutes. I installed an app to visualize what touches it registers and apparently, it reads plenty of false touches on the top edge of the screen. As a result, OS evaluate these readings as various gestures, closing apps, deleting emails, etc, making phone unusable. I never saw anything like that, and I replaced some screens already. Does anybody know what could be the reason for that?

Nokia Lumia Icon: cellular/data not working consistently after dropped when on Wi-Fi

I dropped my Icon two stories onto our landing. The back broke off, and it died. I was able to get it working again, but now it acts like it has no cellular and data service sporadically for a few minutes every few minutes before getting service back.

I think the drop knocked the antenna loose, but I'm not sure how to verify or fix that.

Edit-this problem seems to only occur when I'm on Wi-Fi. If I turn off Wi-Fi, it seems to be pretty stable.

Nokia Lumia Icon: Screen, motherboard or software issue?

I'm having issue with the display, the black background on the screen aren't pure black is like redish tone and it have like verticals lines that are visible on gray colors or on not to light background, they are visible on the camera as well, wen the camera is open and I move the direction the lines appears but like pink tone color. I need to know if I can change the motherboard or if its the screen or software. Similar to this
