Nokia Lumia 625: Phone keeps freezing-rebooting after screen replacement

Hi all.

I had a cracked screen and replaced the digitiser but to no succes. Its placed just fine but when i use the touch screen it freezes up and reboots to the nokia logo. Sometimes i can use it for a while, use the camera etc but then it freezes up.

It looks ok, the case does not close all the way since i cracked the frame at one spot but no tech is situated at this place.

I tried the recovery app, soft reset, hard reset and i even returnes it to factory defaults using the hidden key sequence. Its found by my computer btw.

I cannot find any info regarding these reboots after a screen replacement. Only regarding spontaneous reboots which occur with different models.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for reading :)

Nokia Lumia 625: Internal Antenna seems damaged

Dear Colleague,

My Nokia Lumia 625 underwent a liquid damage repair recently. Unfortunately, now signals are quite weak. I went to my service provider thinking that their connectivity was a problem - however, problem persisted even after they changed my old sim with a new one. Next, I was told by the provider to try my sim on another phone and voila - all signal lines were so strong and connectivity was so fantastic.

My husband went back to the Nokia service centre citing this but was sent back after being told that everything is OK with the phone. My connectivity is bad, calls get dropped or friends complain of voice breaking and the moment I try to look into Whatsapp or email account....the connection is lost showing no service...

Have spoken to few people, they say that the internal antenna is damaged. What is the solution???

Thanks & regards,

Nokia Lumia 625: Replacing a broken screen

My brother's Lumia 625 has a screen that's cracked all to !&&*. It's still functional, touch controls working. I've looked at some youtube videos before but they all involve heat guns and pretty complex dis-assembly work. Does this phone need the digitizer replaced or just the screen, and is there a simple way to do that with an IFixIt kit?

Nokia Lumia 625: Nokia lumia 625 dead after digitizer and side key replacement

My lumia 625 digitizer and power button got broken. I gave it in a local service centre. He replaced the digitizer and just the switches of Power and Volume (-) and not the entire side flex. The phone worked fine for 2 - 3 days. Then it suddenly developed problem in the proximity sensor and the behaviour of the sensor got erratic. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. On the 5th day I forgot to charge the phone after office hours and the battery got drained out during the night. It never started again when I put in on the charger. I went back to the same service centre and he checked the battery and other points on the mother board with Volt meter where I saw that every point he touched, the arm of the voltmeter moved. He then told me the battery is OK and told me to keep the phone with him, for him to find the exact problem which I denied as I thought he is taking me for a ride. Now I have sent it to Microsoft authorised service centre and they are also unable to detect the exact cause and have asked for it to be sent to Microsoft repair centre. They have given me an estimate for Mother board problem as a whole which the Microsoft repair centre would decide, and side flex replacement which the authorised service centre would do. Can someone shed any light regarding the problem and guide regarding what step should be taken.
